Sometimes I just stare at the document in wonder. I have no idea how to pace out a minute of script, let alone 5 minutes. I run on hopes and dreams, math is not a core value in my brain. Which tends to be problematic, as timing is very math-based: calculating frames per second, pacing each shot, "distance" calculations for perspective, and not to mention the music that goes in each scene!

I tend to eyeball everything.

The series is called Waldorf Tuna, and I've dedicated the past couple of years, on and off, to making this thing happen ⭐

Trying not to be intimidated by the animation process, as it's probably going to be 12 fps, and averages 5 to 7 minutes per episode. It's been a little over a year since I've done real animations, so I'm doing practice runs with the Intro segment and the Promo episode (might make another promo episode if it goes well!)

Waldorf Tuna is about 17-year-old Ryoli O'Hara who, in August 2011, comes face-to-face with a load of misfortune. Over the course of season 1, his adoptive father gets severely injured at work, his best friend leaves their hometown (presumed missing), and he contracts a parasite that won't let him hold down food, among other happenings...

The only upside he can see is meeting Scott Cobalt, who, after being kicked out of his girlfriend's apartment, winds up staying at Ryoli's house temporarily.

Most of the characters were conceptualized when I was 15. The plot has been worked and reworked since 2018, after I had been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. This would be the turning point of my creative journey, not only inspiring my art and storytelling, but also developing my confidence and willingness to share my works.

My hope is not to be famous, but to entertain the folks who want to be a part of the journey. My biggest "fans" are my family, friends, and the folks who continue to help me realize my dream of making this series possible.
