Art for Birds of a Feather (Dancer!Stiles/Rich Recluse!Derek, 26k)

It was a violent, yet somehow reverent thing to watch. The few moves that Derek recognized as standard for ballet, while executed perfectly, were always stubbornly knocked off track. He stumbled and fell as often as he jetéd or briséd, though he was graceful in every movement, even when he was being broken down. And, yet, every time he got back up, it was with more and more fury driving his movements, more effort and passion thrown into the stretch of his body. He was a force of nature across the stage, feet leaving the ground entirely as he got more brazen, less able to be held down.
