For the big g diagram, there's 4 quarts in a gallon, two pints in a quart, and two cups in a pint
OH
look I'm also american and of course the measurement systems here are batshit stupid but like.... there's a much simpler diagram
[I.D. a diagram featuring one giant letter G, which has four Q's placed inside. Inside every Q is two P's and inside every P is two C's. End I.D]
I can't speak for the teaspoons and whatnot but at least this is clearer
Seattle-based artist Carol Milne knits with glass, or rather, she creates wonderful glass sculptures that make it seem as though she’s either a superhuman glass knitter or in possession of enchanted knitting needles and very specialized gloves. The reality is actually much more complicated, but no less awesome. Milne invented her glass knitting technique back in 2006. It’s a process that involves knitting with wax instead of glass, followed by lost-wax casting, mold-making and kiln-casting.
First, a model of the sculpture is made from wax which is then encased by a refractory mold material that can withstand extremely high temperatures. Next, hot steam is used to melt the wax, leaving behind an empty cavity in the shape of the artwork. Pieces of room temperature glass are then placed inside the mold which is then heated to 1,400-1,600 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the type of glass. Afterward, the piece is slowly cooled over a period of several weeks, followed by a careful excavation process, where Milne delicately chips away like an archaeologist to reveal the final piece.
To check out more of Carol Milne’s extraordinary artwork visit the Glass Art Society, Milne’s Facebook page or her online gallery.

going to open up transcription commissions!
if you have a podcast, a youtube channel, or anything else like it and you want to make it accessible, i can offer quick accurate transcriptions. i've been doing it both professionally and on a volunteer basis for the past year or so. industry rate averages about $0.80 per audio minute transcribed, and depending on the audio quality, the amount of advance notice, the specificity of the content, and the length of the audio, i'll be charging between 70 and 110 cents per audio minute.

Made a “Which Silt Verses Character are You?” uquiz. It’s more than a little pretentious, but you know, fuck it, it’s my first quiz, maybe I’ll get better at it with practice. Feel free to take it, there are 12 possible results. Content warnings are listed in the introduction. Hope you enjoy :)
hi everyone. i’m so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately, anbara @sharmou6 passed away yesterday morning, inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. this doesn’t feel real at all to me, oh my God, but um. i just wanted to make sure that all his friends and mutuals on here know. i think the best way to honor anbara’s memory & channel our love for him into something meaningful would be to support & share the fundraiser he set up for his partner, a brown lesbian living in an abusive household. i’ve attached the link below. thank u all so much, please take care 💝🌟❣️
