CATEGORY 1: Culinary Clash Man (Talent)

No matter what series, there have always been some sort of vehicle in a Mega Man game, either as a way to get around, or just to show off. As I say that, I'm sure things may immediately come to your mind like Ride Chasers and Battle and Chase cars. But there have been plenty of others, from Star Force's Matter Wave and Legend's Support Car, to flying transport like the Flutter or Death Rogumer. For this category, I would like you to reimagine Mega Man vehicles and redesign them into Summer food trucks/vehicles.

Whether it's bringing Foodtopia Frogurt to a local beach, Mega Man's pew pew pew Lemon Shooter Lemonade Stand, or MaHa Ichiban's portable Coconut Curry Counter, think of something that mixes summer food trucks with your favorite Mega Man series and characters. Your goal is to create a unique design and brand for this vehicle, while showing your favorite characters selling the food from the truck to others who are hungry for those tasty treats. If you want to draw multiple trucks competing for business in this summer scene, like a Wily vs. Light food fight, that's all good, too!

Now, there are also a lot of generic vehicles too, so I'm not saying you need to make it look exactly like one of the more recognizable ones. Just at least inspired by something, and get creative with it from there.

Content Requirements:

Take a Mega Man vehicle/inspiration from one and turn it into a summer food truck

Summer scene, summer foods, with characters interacting in buying, serving, making, or enjoying the food from the vehicle

Must contain a minimum of at least two of your favorite Mega Man characters

As this will be the talent category this year, your piece will be judged on your food truck/vehicle's design, along with the overall scene

CATEGORY 2: Pool's Out For Summer (Humor)

Some people can afford a nice and fancy pool at their own home. However, many of us can't. So, if you can't go out to the beach, the community center, or have an Olympic-sized pool in your backyard like the Platz family, most likely, the cheap inflatable little kiddie/wading pool will have to do. Now most of our main Mega Man protagonists are on the younger side, and would have no issue fitting into one to relax and splash around in. However, they also have a lot of friends, family, acquaintances and enemies who are much bigger, who basically would try to sit in one, and it might get their waist wet while their limbs all extend out of the sides of it.

For example, Netto's is ready to hop in after a scorching Net Battle, but stops to find Yuuichirou lounged out in the pool on his laptop doing "work" outside (while Haruka stares from the kitchen about getting left out YET AGAIN). Or how can Ashe get in a quick dip, when Grey has A-Transed into Chronoforce and literally deflated the whole pool with those sharp icicles? Hey, when it's nearly 100 degrees outside, we all have to cool off somehow!

So, your goal for this category is to draw a humorous scene where the Mega Man character of your choice wants to go swimming in the smaller inflatable pool at home, but someone - or a group of characters, pool toys, pets, etc. - have already taken up all the room in the little pool. What is one to do, when even the pool at home is out of use? (Get the hose and spray them out?)

Content Requirements:

Mega Man character(s) of your choice ready to go swimming in an inflatable kiddie/wading pool at home

Only to find another character(s) of your choice taking up all the room in the pool, so that they can't fit in, left to swelter in the heat

As this will be the humor category this year, your piece will be judged on how much it makes us laugh

When you submit, I would prefer if you could include the following information in this format, along with your entry:

(Your name/preferred alias) As much as I usually know who you are, there's always someone new or somebody who has a different preference from what their email name says.

(Category this entry is for) You can either say 1/2 or the category title

Only submit your own work, as usual. Any character, major or minor, from any series is allowed. OCs are allowed, as long as your art contains at least one canon Megaman character.

Paypal is still the preferred method for cash prize payouts. Please have a valid account to receive your winnings.

Kids, get your parents permission before entering.

Entries do not need to be colored, but it is preferred. The more effort put into things as always, the better chance you have!

DO NOT post your pics publicly here, in other galleries, social media, etc. until the contest is over. This is the fairest way for competitive reasons. I prefer to keep them all secret until the deadline has passed.

I'll edit a confirmed entry list in this thread when I receive them. So you won't be in the dark about whether or not I've received your entry.

DEADLINE:

The deadline for this contest will be Monday, August 31st, 2026 by 11:59PM, global end of day. This gives you well over 2 months to finish your entry!
