“just one.” 

“no.” 

“one more, pleaseeee.” Xiao stopped walking and let out a huff before turning around and placed a kiss on the cheek you’ve presented to him. It made you chuckle. “One more.” 

“Have I not provided enough?” He crossed his arms, eyes turning into slits as he stared you down. Xiao was always guarded, serious, but you’ve learned there’s a softy inside that protected heart. 

“Nope, not yet.” Xiao let out a groan and you laughed at the way he rolled his eyes. Easily, you moved closer to the edge of the table near the balcony of Wangshu Inn, your legs dangling over the wood floor. “I’m not satisfied.” 

He didn’t move but he seemed more focused now, “What then would make you satisfied?” 

“Mmm,” you think for a minute, the sound of the breeze flowing through the tree-tops, the voices from inside the inn drifting out into the open air brought vibrant life to the quiet balcony. For someone who didn’t care much about the noise of humans, Xiao sure seemed to enjoy listening to them. “I know.” Tapping your finger against your lips, you looked at him with confidence, “one more.” 

He didn’t move. Instead his eyes fell to your finger and the way it gently tapped your smiling lips. He sighed but made his way toward you. When he was close enough, he unfurled his arms so he could place his palms on either side of you, his body leaned in and the necklace he wore for protection brushed against your legs. “One more,” he repeated in confirmation.

Nodding, you closed your eyes and felt the warmth of his lips connect with your own. Normally, Xiao’s kisses were quick, much like the spark of electricity that occurs when you rub your hands over thick wool and touch something metal. They were like flashes, which is why you never felt satisfied by them, but, this time, he lingered. The weight of his body as he leaned in to soak up your slowly fading smile, the warmth of him as he drew closer, the feeling of his arms as your fingers wrapped around them for support. This kiss was different, and you were starting to become full. 

When he pulled away, you let out a breath so airy it made you embarrassed. Slowly you opened your eyes only to see the golden radiance of your partner gazing back at you. He moved, and you let out a gasp, “Xia-” 

“One more,” he hummed, unsatisfied.
