It’s not I-5, it’s The I-5. It is always The I-5. You shutter to think what would happen if you didn’t give The I-5 the proper reverence It deserves.

The ground quivers and the windows rattle. Earthquake? No, not today. Those are just the bomb tests.

There is no time here. Only sun, and sun, and sun, and sun.

One fall the air turns to ash.

The night sky is only black, with the occasional pinpricks of white and the colorful airplane lights. You’ve heard people talk about stars and galaxies, but they’re never here.

The people all merge when they come here. The once-conservative guy from Arkansas? Chill, laid-back, sated. The political anti-war activist? Chill, laid-back, sated. There is never any reason to leave.

They’re adding more lanes to the highway. They’re adding more lanes to the highway. They are always adding more lanes; the highway spreads across the earth like moss.

You can drive, or walk, or whatever – it doesn’t matter. Miles stretch out as you traverse them, space itself trapping you. You’ll never get where you’re going. You’ll never make it home.

Pretty. Girls. DONT. Eat. 

I spent years wholeheartedly believing these four words.

This phrase consumed my thoughts to the point where I never thought I would be good enough until I could stop eating for good.

And I know I am not the only one.

If you have ever felt this way - or you feel that way now - just take a moment to remind yourself of two things:

1. PRETTY GIRLS DO EAT. 

2. BEING PRETTY IS NOT THE ONLY VALUE YOU HAVE AS A WOMAN

Im not the first person to point these things out. And I sure as hell hope I am not the last. But I hope one day when you google “pretty girls eat” that you see something different. 

Because… pretty girls fucking eat!!

One day I want little girls to google “pretty girls eat” and see pictures of beautiful women like this. 

Women who are not only beautiful, but so much more. (and if you follow them you KNOW that they all eat!)

Fuck “pretty girls don’t eat” Because we do. And we should remind each other of that until every lost girl who has had the misfortune of believing such a terrible lie can be shown the truth:

STRONG girls eat.

DETERMINED girls eat.

CONFIDENT girls eat.

SMART girls eat.
