They kissed and one of em made Kunikida's lip bleed. So now they're arguing.

They're not boyfriends in this au but I wanted to draw them kissing for once so that's ooc :)

I draw them all te time and they infest my thoughts. Thank you for making me thibking even more about kunikidazai. I have a gift.

This is me when I wanna make friends. I hate him.

No, they're not lovers in the au but for once, I wanted to draw them as one.

Kunikida was orphaned at 5 years old, his dad died and his mom was in a horrible condition and knew she couldn't raise him so she abandoned him and the last gifts his parents gave him were notebook and pen because he was already able to read and write, but he didn't know what to do when they died so he just started wandering the streets and Dazai's parents left him at the side of the road at the same age. One day, they bumped into each other while roaming around like stray dogs and that's how they met, they met with an argument because they started arguing like their usual arguments we see. A few days later, some people felt bad for Kunikida bc he's a literal 5 year old completely alone so people got him food and money and stuff, and one day while eating at a park, he sees Dazai again and he decides to share his food and that's how they became friends.

After a few months, Dazai saw a small bunny keychain he wanted but they couldn't afford it and then Kunikida wrote about it in his notebook because his parents taught him that if he writes down a wish on a piece of paper and rips it, it'll become real in no time [one of those things you teach small children for no reason] and so he did exactly that with the bunny keychain and it became real and that's exactly when his ability manifested [he made a matching bunny keychain for himself too]. And then Kunikida wrote smth else and he ripped the paper and gave it to Dazai and that's when Dazai's ability manifested, the paper disintegrated.

After a while, the PM found them and promised them food and shelter and they unknowingly got kidnapped by the PM and then it was planned for them to be trained to become agents for The Black Lizard when they're a little older. But one day, Kunikida and Dazai craved a certain candy that they weren't given so Kunikida used his ability and they ate it [they are 6 years old at this time], somebody saw that and they reported to the boss and the boss insisted on seeing them himself. And upon seeing Kuni's ability and how Dazai made the paper disintegrate, he asked for more ability users to come and asked Dazai to touch them and their abilities got nullified. Then, he decided that they're gonna be executives when they're older.

The boss said he'll grant them a wish and they asked to go to this thing called "school" and he agreed but under two conditions: No telling anybody they're from the PM and no ability usage. They agreed and then they started attending school. But in school, they didn't speak unless spoken to and didn't make friends with anybody, they were only with each other and only had each other. They weren't bullied, they were just quiet. 2 employees of the PM agreed to become each boy's legal guardian, though they only had to attend parent-teacher meetings and act engaged. At 9 years old, the training started and they barely kept up with training and school but they were decent in both. At 13, they were being sent on missions but always insisted on being together and they met a guy named Oda. He cared for them a lot, now skip to Oda's death [they're 18 now]. Kunikida couldn't even speak for a few days, he could only utter a few incoherent words to Dazai, and Dazai spent his time either crying or sleeping. A few weeks later, they took the decision to escape the PM because of Oda's last words. They packed some food, a few pens, the notebook, the bunny keychains and some money. Mori, who was now the PM boss at the time, ordered them to be hunted down and killed IMMEDIATELY. They were hunted for days and one night someone found them and was able to shoot Kunikida in the abdomen, him and Dazai were somehow able to escape and hide in an alleyway until they were found by Fukuzawa who took them to a hospital. After that, they asked what he does, he explained he's the president of the ADA, they told him they have powers, they went through their entrance exams, yadda yadda. Then they met Ranpo and even though he tried befriending them, they were super distant. Obviously, they were thankful for being saved and they were polite, nice and friendly but they didn't exactly "get comfortable" or become close with anyone besides each other.

Then Kunikida applied for college bc he wanted a degree in case detectiveness didn't work out and he got accepted then got a math teacher degree, he did this out of pure fear of them getting kicked out of the ADA bc Fukuzawa knew about their past and they didn't trust him enough to not kick them out even though he would never.

Then a few more people joined [they're 20 now] and they still didn't speak unless spoken to and they only had full blown conversations with each other. They were super polite but also really formal with each other because they don't know how to socialize with other people, they've only had each other for 15 years or so, Oda was only there for a brief time and they lost him. He was the only person they trusted besides each other and they lost him. They're really odd, really closed off and heavily co-dependent on each other. They make friendly small talk or have work conversations at most with their other co-workers but have long conversations with each other. They live together in the same apartment and they still have the bickering we see in the show and after Atsushi joined, he asked why they're like this because he always sees them together but never with others and the others just told him that they don't know either and that it's one of the agency's 7 mysteries. Their previous job is a secret between them, Fukuzawa and Ranpo. No one knows anything personal about them, not even their birthdays or their hobbies or anything else. They've been dating ever since they were 14 btw

I made this AU up like a week or so ago and I hadn't had time to do more stuff about it. So yeah, Kunizai but they're only close with each other because they've only really known how to talk with each other and have only had each other for as long as they can remember.

Holy yap I didn't think it was that long when you said you had an au. It sounds weird and cute [not in a bad way].

I have a lot of questions tho. For example: what happened with the Mori situation? He had no witnesses since Dazai isn't as fragile [as in easy to manipulate, since in the og au he had freshly tried committing and his mind wasn't as, well, healthy. If yk what I mean] anymore and not alone. That causes Mori to not be able to be the next boss. Which also means that the old boss' order to kill everyone has either been heard or Mori found a new witness. Another question with Oda's situation: since, again, Dazai isn't alone, he doesn't need to lie in front of someone else's door and wait to die. Since Kunikida can help him even if he's also injured. Let's assume that the injury didn't happen. Why did Oda join the mafia? His reason was Dazai if I'm not wrong [I might be wrong]. Another thing is why the mafia took them without knowing their abilities? Yes, we did see children taken in the mafia. But you need to know to have a strong ability in order to be taken that young [Example: Q (Him might be an example too but she was close to Ryuu as in age (I assume it's 12-13) and Ryuu clearly wouldn't join without her)].
