ok since jk Rowling has picked a new woman of color to harass i feel the need to remind everyone that she's not doing anything strange or like. out of the ordinary. and that women of color (both cis and trans) have always had to fight to be acknowledged as real women in white society. like yes she is being transmisogynistic but she is also continuing a very long lasting racist & white supremacist tradition of denying women of color our womanhood.

like a lot of the people who like to mock her treat these incidents as isolated instances of black-mold induced transphobia that is misdirected at women of color. which is not true. she is literally just doing something white women have done to women of color for centuries. gatekeeping being a woman behind whiteness.
