The amount of damage control being done by some on here to deny the clear implications of the latest FT chapter is truly breathtaking. 

“Derp they don’t have the same moments as others” …. look stupid, not every pairing needs to be rammed into our faces with the subtly of a sledgehammer, with forced, contrived & cringeworthy moments e.g. Erza & Jella constantly awkwardly falling on top of one another, Juvia practically creepily stalking Gray (you’d get arrested in real life), Lucy rubbing her naked body over Natsu to keep him warm etc etc

In that regard, Miraxus was the most mature & realistic pairing Mashima executed, with clear hints littered throughout the manga that they had a bond that transcended simple friendship, without going over the top to publicly display it like the others.  

“Derp, Mashima is just pandering” … I wish we had that much influence on him. But unfortunately, it’s more likely that because FT is coming to an end Mashima felt that it was time to confirm EoS pairings, even one’s that he’d kept less visible (like Miraxus). At any rate even if he was pandering, he’s the mangaka and what he’s draws is canon so whatever. 

Honestly guys, if you couldn’t pick up on the obvious signals telegraphed since the start of the manga, then you’re either a simpleton or someone who has zero life experience in these matters. It was clear to many that these two seemed destined to be an end game pairing. Now let us fellow Miraxus fans, who were wise enough to observe this pairing from the start celebrate this glorious occasion instead of trying to rain on our parade. 

tl;dr version: It’s canon at this stage bitches. Deal with it. 

Honestly, comments from those anti’s just make me laugh. C’mon now, if that had been a panel of Laxus with Freed or Cana. They’d all be over their asses and y’all be all over our fandom again attacking anyone anonymously and shoving your ship right up our faces. 

But then, NOPE. Sorry not sorry for bursting your non-existent bubble but It’s Miraxus! It’s fucking Laxus and Mira, for crying out loud! 

That was Mashima’s decision to have them included in the ship showing the main and more obvious ships. 

He could’ve easily not included Miraxus but then again, he did. SO THAT MUST MEAN SOMETHING

It is significant. Love it or hate it. It’s there. Written in stone. 

And y’all just have to accept it.

But then even small moments tend to mean something major... so people start thinking about it, and thus elicits general reactions from everyone. 

I have to comment though that I respect how you can actually hate a ship based on its fandom, and okay if you had unpleasant experiences with the miraxus fandom, then I get that. 

But as a miraxus shipper, I have to type this to that person who sent a comment/reply: we DO get our more than fair share of unjust hate and bullying too. I personally witnessed how other rival ship fandoms attack and become so aggressive with their hate. It’s generally upsetting how miraxus shippers get labelled as such when in fact it’s the other ship fandom that’s also been non-stop spewing hate. If you’ve been in the tag long enough which obviously you haven’t, the genuine miraxus shippers have always been pretty quite & calm, tbh. 

I’ve been vocal about this issue ever since. But it’s not ONLY the miraxus fandom that has its bad apples. HECK, the bad apples I’ve seen myself from those rival ship fandoms are actually horrible enough, if you ask me. 

There are so many Fra//xus shippers insistent on telling us how shit our ship is.

But ooooh, bitch. If I said all the things I’d love to say about Fra//xus, the shippers would get their knickers in a twist so fucking quick. But Miraxus is fair game, right?

I’m basically numb from all the hate so I’m indifferent towards it by now. Their words don’t get to me though. At least, not anymore!

I still and will always believe in Miraxus no matter how insistent these anti’s are. Plus there’s that latest Miraxus panel in the colored pages *snickering and laughing from the pits of hell* so we always have something to celebrate in the miraxus fandom :) 

AS with how it’s always been, Mira could’ve just been pictured with her sibs and Laxus with the Raijinshuu… but then Elfman is seen with Ever and Mira could’ve actually just been with Lisanna… But then, we have Laxus!! Like c’mon, LAXUS! IT’S MIRAXUS!! MY MIRAXUS!!!

FUCKIN’ haters gonna hate (for sure y’all are in a tirade by now lmao) so I’ll put this out there: if this was Laxus with your choice of ship you’ll be pining over this same panel no matter how teensy-tiny it is. So don’t go acting like a butthurt sourpiss baby saying this small-ass panel doesn’t mean anything, or that we miraxus shippers shouldn’t celebrate over it *rolls eyes* 

Because no matter how you look at it, it’s in the page including the series’ main ships and that definitely means something! Anybody whose OTP’s included in that page have all the right to celebrate and literally jump for joy so there’s no belittling anyone, in my opinion. 

yeah u do that. good riddance, anyway!
