so generously assuming 1% as the population of trans people as a whole, you'd expect 0.35% transgender men as the number in politics (so about 1-2 in the US House of Reps and Senate combined), if they had no privilege or discrimination applied to them at all.

assuming they had equal privilege to cisgender men (where 71.8% of US politicians are cis men) you would expect 0.72% transgender men in politics, or 3-4 transgender men in the US House of Reps and Senate combined.
