It’s funny how everything changes as you get older and you finally learn to love your self and not need anybody else
then I realize I am never alone
I have three friends that live in my head
There names are confidence, anxiety, and depression
They are a tricky group to handle
But they tend to fight like siblings
Unfortunately its confidence that gets bullied a little harder then the other two
Let me introduce you to the boys
He likes to stay up all night long and talk about the past
He’s really clinging some times
His favorite thing to do is sleep
Every so often I wake up and he has me chained to the bed so I wont be able to leave him
Eventually he falls asleep
But before he’s all the way out he calls his big brother to keep me company
he doesn’t like to leave me alone
He’s kinda twitchy and has his quarks
He’s not as clingy as his brother
He likes to just pop up and surprise you
When you are at your worst
He’s there for all your big life accomplishments
He’s there on every first date
He opens your mind to all the thoughts you’d never have with out him
Even better he finds 100 different ways to think about one moment
In reality he doesn’t even need that much to make an elaborate story
But once he gets tired and joins depression in bed the youngest brother come to clean up the mess
He is majestic and strong
He brightens every room he walks into
He doesn’t mind taking care of his brothers and cleaning up there mess
He’s in the back round a lot
But he whispers a word of encouragement when his brothers are out of control
He’s not around as much as I’d like
I miss him a lot sometimes
But he’s starting to come out more lately
Even though I know he’ll just leave me
At the end of the day I’m in charge of all these fools
They are like my children
They don’t always listen to me but they always love me for who I am
Are they parts of me or I am I just all of them
