Summer is truly here — and with it, commissions full of that same hot, vibrant energy! 🌴✨ The commissioner asked for his character, Juukoju, to have a bit of a comic-style vibe. It’s not exactly my usual theme, but it was a really fun challenge to explore something different. 🙂

Over the past six months, I took part in a concept art course focused mainly on Blender and its use in concept art. Due to some personal circumstances turning my life a bit upside down during this time, I wasn’t able to dive as deeply into the software as I would have liked. However, I still gained a much stronger understanding of the workflow. This — admittedly somewhat rushed — illustration is my final assignment, also built on a Blender base.

I've completed my final Mermay commission for 2026! Of course, you can still commission me for mermaid illustrations anytime, but my very first YCH commission batch comes to a close with this tropical, sun-soaked mermaid lady. 🌴✨ Character belongs to Ingrid Wolfe.

The third YCH MerMay commission is complete: Syrin for Celli! After two darker-toned characters, this time I went with a truly vibrant, colorful mermaid. 🧜‍♀️ I’ve drawn Syrin once before in an elf form, but this time I had the chance to design her as a mermaid. I felt that a lionfish-inspired look would suit such a striking and alluring character perfectly. I hope you like the final result as much as I enjoyed creating it! 🙂
