moments written in light: water, paper, uncertainty - is a journey through cyanotype landscapes, where words and images merge into fragile, blue moments.
So I saw a photo of this hexagon tile floor . . .
The blurb said the shot was taken in Granada, Spain, by Agneta Fondén. No other info, so I have no idea how old, etc. There's a game (from 1988) that uses a similar pattern on one of its pieces, but this could predate it by at least a thousand years — or not. But the pattern intrigued me, so I made a texture map and used Blender's geometry nodes (no generative AI) to set up a hexagon grid with random rotations for the tiles:
That's all done with a single design:
You'd think this would have a name, right? (For its historical use as an architectural / decor tile — although I've found out more about its use in games, that's not what I'm looking for.) Like the Penroses do (and no, it's not one of those). But I've had no luck finding it, or any other info. Any (human only, please) help?

Thought for the day: Isn’t the 2001 hip-hop song by Ludacris “Area Codes” kind of extremely… autistic? Imagine boasting about how many girlfriends you have by committing their phone numbers to MEMORY and then rapping about it. It’s kind of cute.
Also the lyrics are a whole lot of fun.

I really love those posts of people showing their stuffed animals various things and locations, gonna start doing that
showing my giant ground sloth the Feather River and the Feather River Fish Hatchery fish ladder
showing my cat the location of the last stagecoach hold-up in San Mateo County
showing my sockeye salmon The Gates Of Hell
showing my humpback whale Methuselah the coast redwood
showing my banana slug the grave of Emperor Norton
showing my tiger the geographic center of California
showing my elephant seal a spirit photograph
showing my javalina the 1906 earthquake fence
I have a question for all the #gay artists who may know the historical details of this question!
Lately I have been seeing lots of ads* for those “Trans Rights are Human Rights” t-shirts with wildflower designs. Lovely… but they are invariably popping up from disreputable companies who no doubt have stolen the art or are imitating the original idea.
I did some research into who did this original design and came up with one possible person: Rae Senarighi, AKA Transpainter (https://transpainter.com/about-rae-senarighi-fine-art/), who has painted a lot of beautiful wildflower designs with slogans on - but none with precisely the same image I see everywhere.
My question is: is the design I am seeing copied from a different artist or is there just a proliferation of wildflower/trans right art which has been inspired by Transpainter?
Thanks for your help! And to celebrate Pride month, if you get yourself an LGBTQIA+ t-shirt, please make sure the original artist is getting your money, not some tech billionaire.

*Clearly I did not see these ads on Tumblr. That would actually be relevant for me. Here it’s all oat kefir and Christianity
And here are a couple of Rae Senaghari originals on Etsy. They have MANY more - go check them out! https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Transpainter:
Tumblr still counfounding me with its christianity ads:
Looked it up. Sounds porny to me:
A couple of days ago I seriously risked flaring up my carpal tunnel syndrome again in order to stick a million tiny mirrors to my cycle helmet but boy was it worth it
I lived with these kittens for a while and they were EXCELLENT. The orange boy was ridiculous. He once tried to jump in the window enthusiastically in the middle of the night. Except it was closed. He brought me fleas and much boundaryless love.

Absolutely nothing has changed. Apart from the cat. Those are different cats.
More cats I have known and loved
Cats I have known and loved. Post 1 of many. 10 photos far from enough to adequately express my appreciation of these fine felines

I just joined Tumblr and it’s great - so nice to see so much art and photos and people’s craft but honestly I have never seen so many ads for Christianity!! Wtf?! is it something I did? Or are the Christians just really really worried about everyone on here?
