The fucking movie takes an abuse victimâs words (and i want to make that clear here gamorra is a victim who was killed by her abuser) of âthis isnât loveâ right before he kills her and then says âyouâre wrong, he does love youâ and gave him the soul stone.
Like that is 100% validating the abuserâs worldview and an attempt to make the abuser seem sympathetic because âlook he really did love herâ and hollywood has such a fucking problem with that.
And the narrative was 100% endorsing the abuser. Because it rewarded the abuser for killing the person he abused and said âthat was love.â
Fuck that shit.
Abuse isnât love. Abuse isnât love. Abuse is not and cannot be love and anyone who says otherwise is siding with the abuser.

Abuse aside, I always felt that scene just shouldnât have worked. It doesnât make sense that it worked.Â
Having to murder someone you love to obtain power is a bit of an impossible situation? For you to truly love them you wouldnât be able to kill them? The fact Thanos could murder Gamora so easily means he canât possibly love her as much as the trial request?
Itâs because thatâs just abuse. You canât separate the killing from abuse here because the killing is just an extension of the abuse.
