Do you ever wonder what it's like to be the main character of a story? To hold all the power and the love of those around you just because you did something as simple as breathing. To hold the blessings of the gods and the well wishes of the people. Not eveyone is lucky enough to be born in such a role though.
Some will be love interests, others side character and others will be the villains that bring spice and conflict to the story. Everyone has a role in the story they play, some more important than others, of course, but all still mattering to get the plot ahead. Growing up you want to be important, but whether you are is completely up to fate and fate does work in fickle ways.
One day you could be gaming your evening away in the enclosure of your stuffy apartment and the next you're fainting and waking up in a brand new world where magic and morphers are the norm and there is a clear main character.
Maria Wyknight. A blonde hair, blue eyed woman who was said to be the chosen saintess of the land, destined to save us all from the great depression that looms over the sunrise. Daughter of the most powerful Duke in the whole of the region of Lunaris and protagonist of the visual novel, đđĄđđŁđđĽđđ đ: ꪜꪎęŞęŤ ꪜꪎęŞęŤ.
It was a medieval style otome game based in a world where magic is possible and is the norm among nobles. It follows the MC Maria Wyknight as she discovers her powers as the choosen saintess of the land after being broken up with by her bum of a fiancĂŠ at the kings birthday banquet. The game held 7 love interests, all of different standings and power and from separate places.
The son of a prominent merchant family's, the crown prince's of kingdoms and the heirs to powerful dukal houses. All of these are the type of love interests you are set to capture as you play as Maria and make your way through a powerful love story that is set to make generations.
Much like every other story, there's a main character in Maria, love interests, side characters and more importantly; a villainess. Someone forever cursed by the fates to remain unlovable and always searching for validation but never finding it. A girl told by her father that if she failed to find herself a suitor within a few years that she would be disowned by her family and forced into poverty. A girl that let the need to prove her worth to that father of hers consume her until in the end she was left with nothing else but the warm embarce of death to hold her. Misunderstood? Yes. Valid? No.
It was a sad story from her perspective but the story was never supposed to be told for her. It was for Maria. A girl who in the end discovered how to control her powers and charmed the heart of those around her while her rival was left to rot. Truly an interesting story. From a third point perspective. But when you're thrown into it's flames with nothing but your own knowledge and an imperceptibly will to live, the story opinion changes.
This once interesting story turns into a battle of life or death with anguish being it's only accomplice and end. This was the story of a girl who was never supposed to be apart of it in the first place. But with a couple of bored gods, a will to live and a working brain, she became apart of it and it's characters anyway. The shell she inhabited was never destined for happiness, but will she be able to change her fate with her actions? Now That; not even the gods know...
"Maria Wyknight, daughter of Duke Wyknight. I, Kylien Lefhire, son of Duke Lefhire, humbly request for you to break up our engagement as I no longer hold feelings for you." A ginger haired male announced to everyone in the banquet hall as the blonde haired heroine, Maria Wyknight stood in the centre beside him with a look of shock and heartbreak adorning her soft features.
Everyone in the hall including the royal family had stalled their own conversation to hear the drama happening between the two young ones as you yourself tried to multi task listening and watching the drama of the event while also simultaneously arguing internally with the gods(there goes the last original sentence). 'So you're not even going to give me a hint to how this goes or...?' You questioned internally as a holographic blue screen flashed before your eyes.
"Iâwhat?!" Maria choked out infront of Kylien as you stared at the floating text of the gods before you with barely concealed agitation. Of course they refused to help you. You'd been begging for the last 3 days for help and all they had done was laugh at you for your lack in the memory department. But then again, are you really at fault since the last time you touched this game was basically a month ago?! You've probably played a good 10 visual novels since then and read a good 50 manhwas on the side too.
Being reincarnated was no easy task, especially if you didn't remember anything except the cool character designs and a few basic plot lines. And this was exactly what was happening to you right now.
About 3/4 days ago you had been hit by the infamous truck-kun and isekaid into the world of some visual novel you had played awhile ago. The only reason you remembered where you were was because of the games unique names and designs and a slight hint through the gods texts before you.
Now to mention the 3 gods themselves...
You had woken up in this new world with these blue screens blaring in your face as the gods had explained to you that you had died in your world and out of pure pity, they had all decided to give you another shot at life in a new body in a new world.(and also because they were like, slightly bored and apparently decided that you would be entertaining enough to watch squirm in this new yet slightly familiar world)
And thus you ended up in the world of the slightly known visual novel of đđĄđđŁđđĽđđ đ: ꪜꪎęŞęŤ ꪜꪎęŞęŤ. A story for the books truly. And while you do appreciate the gods effort to keep you living by moving your soul from your world to this one and are forever in their debt, you have two problems here!
Problem number one as stated before, you don't remember shi about this visual novel!! Sure you had played it this month but you've probably played and read a bunch of novels in that time from the time you first played the game to the isekai. And to your demise, you were someone who regularly read the medieval manhwa type. So now you probably had atleast 20 manwha plot lines running through your head and no idea which one was actually of the universe you now inhabited.
Then your second issue. Now if there was one thing you remembered about this damn VN, it was some of its characters and the their names. Like you easily remember the love interests features and name because of how unique they were. The one with the blonde and blue colour pallete was named Kaiser or something close to that, for example. Then you also remembered the MC. Maria had blonde hair with pinkish tips and blue eyes. An interesting combo for her palette but beautiful nonetheless.
Then came the final character of the game you remembered. And for her it wasn't even becaue of her features but rather because of her name. The games villainess and final boss, [Name] McKlein. The girl with a heart aiming to please her father and a name similar to yours. Also along with being the biggest obstruction in Maria's path in the game as far as you remember. And that was your second issue.
Because of ALL the side characters and of ALL the love interests(you would literally rather change genders) these stupid bored gods had not only dropped you in a new world WITHOUT HELP but they had the audacity to also drop you in as the literal worst character of the series and endgame villian, [Name] McKlein. But hey on the brightside, atleast you still are able to be called by your original name by birth!! How jolly...
'Man shut up you useless god!' You grumbled internally at the god of wisdoms words. This was truly going to be... one interesting journey AND it would be really cool if someone(wonder who) would help. But you know that they aren't going to since watching you suffer to figure shi out is probably funnier and more entertaining anyway.
A/N: first chapter of the fic, yaayâĄKaiser mention this chapter! I swear there will be more later though... I'm making a taglist aswell if you're interested in being tagged next chapter:3 update tendenciesmay faulter but I plan to update weekly. Can I be known as the ng11 xreader writer of Tumblr yet or nah? ^^

Actionable Ideas for Challenging Infold Over Valko's Release (Updated!)
A lot of LADS fans are really upset over Infold's decision to shelve Valko. This is my attempt at creating action items for fans wanting to do something but are unsure where to start.
Here are some methods for giving Infold feedback:
Sign this petition and this petition
Reply to their posts on X (Twitter)
Comment on their Instagram posts and unfollow them
Comment on their Facebook posts and unfollow them
Comment on their YouTube videos and unfollow them
Comment on their XHS/RedNote posts and unfollow them
Join their official Discord Server and voice your dissatisfaction
Leave a 1-star review on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store
Complete the survey in the Love and Deepspace app by selecting the box/pencil icon in the top right corner of the home screen
"Suggest" Valko's release in the Love and Deepspace app by going to Settings > More > Support, then select "Suggestion"
(If you want to be slightly passive-aggressive) On 9 July, go to Settings > More > Support, then select "Bug Report" and fill out the report stating that the promised Valko content is missing
Uninstall the LADS app after sending feedback, unless you want to continue using Support as another place to give repeated feedback
Remember: if we want Infold to listen to us, we MUST remain persistent, civil, and demonstrate our affection for the game. I highly doubt they will be intimidated by non-CN players, which means we are held to a different standard. What is effective for them will not be effective for us.
With that said, remember these do's and dont's:
Do vary your written feedback. Making each piece of feedback you give at least slightly different, particularly in emails, will ensure your thoughts are not filtered out.
Do repeatedly submit/post/send your feedback over the next few weeks. Email them today, in a few days, on 9 July, and in the weeks after. Post on their social media every day. Overwhelm them and show them this isn't going to go away over a few free Wishes.
Do prepare to CONTINUE submitting/posting/sending your feedback over the next few months. Infold needs to see that we won't let this issue go. Schedule emails to be sent to them over the next 3 months. Draft X posts today and copy and paste them to post in a few months time. Draft your long-form in-app feedback in preperation for the update and the upcoming banners. Create reminders to check and comment on their posts weekly. Don't let them get comfortable. Be a dog with a bone (lol).
Do maintain a polite tone in your feedback (even when you are issuing a threat like leaving the game).
Do specify your current disappointments, long-term criticisms, and expectations for the future of the game should you continue to play. For example, don't just say you want more Main Story updates; specify that you want them every three months.
Do clearly isolate your long-term issues with the game from the current issue of Valko's release. Make it clear that those issues are not resolved by delaying or permanently canceling Valko's debut.
Do talk positively about whatever you can (ie. enjoying other LIs, enjoying the content of the Main Story itself, appreciating the worldbuilding, etc). This may feel difficult, but it demonstrates that you are a passionate player. Infold can assume that a player so invested in the game would need something drastic to push them to leave.
Don't use profanity.
Don't reference CN players.
Don't bring up Infold's past mistakes. We need to stay focused on the current issues.
Don't criticize anything about Valko's teased content. This one may be unpopular, I know. If Infold is pulling back Valko's release, I don't think it's likely that they will be willing to invest any more time and money into his development. If they continue to get more and more criticisms about him and don't care to change anything about him, they will never release him. I'm not minimizing any fan's concerns; I'm suggesting we choose a priority.
If you are unsure where to start, here are some talking points:
Express your excitement over Valko (bonus points if you give reasons why). Did you come back from a long hiatus for him?
Express your disappointment over not having Valko in the game. How will it impact your enjoyment of the game?
Describe how you prepared for his anticipated arrival.
⢠In-game (farm for dias, bought packs, etc)
⢠On your devices (created storage space, bought a new device, etc)
⢠Financially (budgeted for buying packs upon his release, etc)
Describe how you engaged in fandom around Valko. Did you create fanart, fanfiction, or other fanworks? How much were you consuming fanworks showcasing him? Demonstrating how beloved he was before any real content of his being released indicates a warm reception if/when he is released.
What are the current issues you experience with the game? Be specific. Describe exactly how they impact your gameplay. Suggest a concrete way those issues could be resolved. Assert that Valko's release being postponed or canceled will not resolve these issues.
Express concern for the changes to their planned story arc his absence would create. Question if those changes would be as enjoyable as their original plan.
(If you're feeling up to it) Acknowledge the amount of time, effort, and money that must have gone into creating Valko. Let them know it would disappoint you to see it go to waste.
Infold made a terrible decision. We need to take action and let Infold know that a large portion of the LADS fanbase wants Valko to be released at some point. Let's try to remain positive where we can, engage in positive fandom, and do our best to make our voices heard by Infold.
Thanks to @shivasdarknight, @adehsroyal, and @alyxzenia for their contributions!
And that's the part that's making me lose my fucking mind.
We lost an entire section of the MAIN STORY.
The livestream literally told us Valko's release was going to reveal more about the Aethercoreâone of the biggest mysteries in Love and Deepspace and something that's been central to the plot from the very beginning.
So now what?
You think they can just delete him and nothing changes?
Do people genuinely think you can rip out an entire story arc without consequences?
Everything that was supposed to be revealed through Valko now has to be rewritten, redistributed, or outright cut. The main story is going to have to be retconned. Future updates are going to have to be reworked. Characters may have to be rewritten just to fill the gap he leaves.
If you're celebrating this because you "won," I sincerely hope you understand what you've actually cheered for.

Vampire Hugo WIP, and technically not technically spoilers for my next chapter that will be released soon⥠Hugo as Reiji is soo fine and I don't think yall ready for thatđŽâđ¨
âď¸ a/n â part of my you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love series :) find it here ! (fun fact: i wrote 2 versions of this and picked which one i liked the most)
âď¸ word count â 2.5k
âď¸ content â vivian hugo x fem! reader, college student! reader, childhood best friends, unrequited love (or so you think), long distance communications, suggestive-ish? parts not rlly, smoking mentioned once, def ooc vivian (i like pretending he's actually a silly goofy nerd), very americanized version of college (as...yk i go to an american college), heavily exaggerated the distance lmao, not proofread
âď¸ synopsis â If God made a person specially for you, they came in the form of Vivian Hugo- your best friend. But the saying 'distance makes the heart grow fonder' becomes scarily true when you go to college without him.
ââ âď¸ you should feel how i feel when somebody says your name
The first sign something was wrong with you came when you were at a party.
Nothing was wrong because someone kissed you, no, youâd kissed many people since being in college.Â
And no, it wasnât because some cute guy asked for your number- although every time that did happen you did have to turn them down. âYou can find likeâŚmy home address by my number! Thatâs too scary.â Your friends would always say you were overreacting, but the first 48 had never led you astray before.
And nothing was wrong because college had suddenly become overwhelming, even if it was.Â
As much as you wished it happened for a reason you could explain, it actually happened while you were standing outside a bathroom that your friends had locked themselves inside twenty minutes ago.
The smell of smoke drifting from beneath the door made you wrinkle your nose, "You guys are disgusting," you yelled.
One of your friends cackled from the other side, "Shut up you punk!"
You leaned against the wall with a grin on your face, waiting for your friends to wrap up their smoke sesh. And unfortunately, you waitedâŚand waited.
And waited some more.
A guy you've never seen before appeared beside you, arms crossed, "What are they doing in there?"
"UmâŚ"
He didnât even wait for your answer before he took his fist to the door, banging on it as if he was trying to break it down, "Hurry up!"
"GO AWAY!"
"You've been in there forever!" The guy groaned dramatically.
Then somewhere deeper in the house someone shouted, "VIV!"
Your head snapped up so fast your neck hurt.
The name slammed into you.
And embarrassingly- your heart immediately leapt out of your chest.
Viv.
Viv.
Viv.
For one stupid, pathetic second you genuinely looked around expecting to find him.
Expecting to see his messy hair, to hear his laugh, to see him leaning against a doorway smiling at you like he used to after sneaking into your house during storms because you were scared.
But, unfortunately for your very excited heart, it wasn't him. It was just some girl yelling at some guy, "VIV!"Â
"Oh my god, WHAT?"
And suddenly you felt ridiculous.
Because your Vivian wasn't here.
No, he was hundreds of miles away. Living his dream and playing soccer like heâd always wanted to.
And yet hearing his nickname felt like someone had reached inside your chest and squeezed your heart - reminding you how much it ached that your best friend wasnât there with you.
The rest of the party felt wrong after that.
Everyone seemed cool, like they always were at the parties your friends dragged you to. The people were interesting. Your friends were exciting. Which was weird, because if you were to ask the boy youâd grown up with your entire life, exciting would be the last word heâd use to describe you.
You sat on a couch while conversations flowed around you, trying to reset yourself back into the person youâd morphed into when you stepped foot on campus.
Music was blasting- music that you had to pretend you liked when you really liked dancing to show tunes while a certain boy laughed himself to tears at your awful dancing while laying in your bed.
People laughed, but they werenât the laugh that you wanted to hear after everything you said- even if it wasnât funny.
Someone sat beside you and asked what your major was.
You answered automatically, trying to smile and be the girl you so desperately wanted to be. The college girl who just lived her life, who didnât care about home, but your thoughts drifted elsewhere.
Back to Vivian and whether he'd eaten dinner. To whether or not his practice had gone well. To whether he'd remembered his jacket because heâd always had a bad habit of forgetting his jacket if someone didnât remind him.
To whether he'd thought about calling you today, despite the time difference between you two.
The realization hit so suddenly it made you sick.
You wanted to go home and not because the party sucked.
Because none of these people could ever be like Vivian, no matter how you shaped yourself to try and find another him.
The second sign something was wrong with you happened when you were on campus, a month after the party.
You sat beneath a tree with your textbook open and notes spread around you, trying desperately to focus.
Your phone rang.
You didn't even have to look before sliding the button to the âAcceptâÂ
You always knew who it was, "Hey."
"Hi."
God. Just hearing his voice made everything easier.
You smiled without thinking, the stress of your midterms easing off your shoulders as you heard the stupid grin in his voice, "Is your practice done?"
"Finally." You heard him groan. "Coach hates us."
"You say that every week."
"Because he does.â
You laughed, and the sound seemed to brighten his mood immediately.
The conversation between you two drifted like it always did. To your classes. Then to his teammates that you hadnât exactly learned the names of even though heâd been around them since early summer.
Then he asked about the food youâd eaten this week because âThis team diet is killing me,â heâd said. And of course you had to rub in his face about the all you could eat dining hall- exaggerating because the food truly wasnât that good, but hearing his hungry whines made it worth it.
You asked about the weather, because even if he was still in France, you liked to know if it was just as sunny there as it was where you were. If you two were feeling the warmth of the same sun.
It was a lot of random nonsense, really. These were things most people would talk about in passing, the kind of conversations that shouldn't last two hours. Yet somehow, with him, they always did.
At one point there was a comfortable silence, where you two were just sitting on the phone listening to each other breathe.
Then he had to break it, "I miss you."
Your heart stopped.
Not because he'd never said it. Actually, he said it all the time and so did you- as much as humanly possible because you did miss each other. No sane person could go 18 years being attached at the hip and then suddenly being away from each other without missing them.
It was normal between you two, almost ritualistic, but today it landed differently. Today it hurt you. Because you missed him too, so much so that it felt physical.
"I miss you too."
The line went quiet.
And of course, because Vivian Hugo was never one for sentimental silences, "You'd hate my roommate."
You immediately shook off the familiar sadness, "Oh? Really?"
"He leaves socks everywhere."
"That's gross."
"You should come tell him that."
You and Vivian laughed at the same time, the sounds combining. You were sure that if your mothers were in on this conversation, they would assume the two of you got into some kind of trouble again, like they had since you and him could walk.
For a moment, everything felt right. It felt like you were sixteen again walking home together while sharing earbuds and arguing over nothing. You werenât the nineteen year old girl who was molding herself to fit different friend groups. You were just youâŚ
But eventually the call ended like it always did. Vivian sighed, always the one to end the phone call, âBye." You felt your heart screaming not to stop yet, to keep him on the phone, but all you could say was, "Bye."
"I'll call tomorrow."
"Okay."
The line clicked and you were met with the unbearable silence again. Suddenly campus felt too big. Too loud but also too empty.
Students passed by, laughing and talking with their friends. Cars moved through nearby streets. Someone - who you were sure was in an organization raising funds - shouted in the distance.
And life continued all around you, but you sat frozen beneath that tree. Because the world felt wrong again.
Like you'd briefly stepped back into your real life. The one you lived for eighteen years back home.
Only to be thrown out.
Then came the dreams. And those were the worst sign that something must be wrong with you.
Because there was no pretending after waking up.
There were no excuses you could make to explain them away. Even if youâd searched âWhat does it mean if I had a dream about having sex with my best friend?â
Every search you made only led you to realize you couldnât deny it anymore.
The first dream felt harmless.
It was just you and Vivian sitting together, talking and laughing like you always did when you two were together. It was normal.
Then he leaned forward, touched your face, and kissed you.
You woke up immediately, heart pounding.
You were horrified, a little confused, and a crap ton embarrassed- as if he could have known what you were dreaming of.
You blamed the stress of all your classes at first.Â
Then it happened again. And again. And again.
Soon every dream ended the same way. His hand in yours. His forehead against yours. His mouth on yours.
Sometimes you dreamed you woke up beside him in your small twin XL dorm bed.
Sometimes you dreamed he wrapped his arms around your waist like youâd seen in every romcom ever growing up.
Sometimes you dreamed he looked at you like you were the only thing he'd ever wanted. Because you were sure that was how you looked at him.
But instead, every morning you woke up feeling like your chest had been split open. Because he wasnât there.
Because for half a second, you believed it. You believed he was there. Then your reality returned, and your room was empty except for your roommate snoring on her side.
Months passed and of course, your calls and texts continued, like nothing had ever changed. Except everything had, for you at least.
You couldn't stop noticing things. Like the way his voice softened when he talked to you versus talking to his teammateâŚLoki? You think it was.
The way he remembered every tiny detail you ever mentioned like how you hated your exercise and sports science professor with a fire in your heart.
The way he called whenever something good happened like him assisting Loki on a goal. You think actually making a goal would be more worth celebrating, because you knew heâd done it, but assisting Loki was suddenly his life mission.
The way he called whenever something bad happened like how he had fallen and had to be examined for a fracture. When really, all it was was a very slight sprain and he could get back to practice tomorrow if he iced all night.
The way you were always the first person he wanted to talk to. Always. Every time.
One night you were on FaceTime, both exhausted in different ways. Him, physically. You, mentally.
You were lying in your bed, enjoying the quite comfort of an empty dorm room since your roommate had gone out to party while Vivian sat in his apartment with messy hair, half asleep and talking nonsense.
The conversation drifted lazily, and when he stopped for a second you looked at your phone only to find him looking at you like he'd forgotten every detail of your face heâd grown up with.
For a minute he didn't speak, just stared at you. After a second, he smiled softly. And to you, it almost looked sadly.
"What?â You laughed.
He shook his head, "Nothing."
"You're being weird, Viv."
"I'm not."
"You are."
He leaned back, still smiling. Still looking at you.
Then he said quietly, "If there is a God, he made you for me."
Your stomach dropped.
The room spun and for a second you genuinely forgot how to breathe.
But then - because you were an idiot and because admitting the alternative would destroy you - You laughed, "Aww."
Vivian immediately looked offended, "Aww?"
You smiled at the screen, pressing a kiss to your fingers then to the camera, "You love me."
"I do." He said far too seriously.
"See?"
"That's not what I-" He stopped himself.
You didn't notice or maybe you did and you were just too scared to admit it to yourself. So you grinned and pretended that you didnât understand, "You were made for me too, Viv."
Something flickered across his face, but it was gone before you could identify it.
Then he smiled, a smaller smile this time, "Yeah."
Your stomach hurt again. This time for reasons you couldn't explain.
The truth finally arrived months later.
Not dramatically. No, he didnât come to your college and surprise you with some grand confession and a kiss after having a realization that it was always you.
No, because deep down you'd already known.
The truth came during another party. In another crowded room where there were far too many people and you were shaped into a person you werenât sure you liked anymore.
You stood alone again, watching strangers dance with each other. Hearing them just laugh. Taking in the energy of people who were justâŚliving.
And despite all the fun around you, all you could think was
I wish Vivian was here.
Not because he was your best friend even if he was. Not because he made things fun, you were sure heâd somehow even make watching paint dry entertaining. It wasnât because he made you comfortable no matter where you were.
It was because you wanted him.
Him specifically.
You wanted to hear his laugh. To see his goofy smile. To hear his voice you once used to make fun of for all the voice cracks. For him to make one of his stupid jokes.
You wanted to hold his hands. Stare into his eyes. You wanted his everything.
You wanted to tell him every thought. Every feeling you had - good, bad, and the terrible in between. Every fear - even if it was embarrassing.
You just wanted him beside you.
Always. For the rest of your life.
And the realization hit so hard tears immediately filled your eyes.
Because suddenly it all made sense.
The dreams you were so convinced meant that you were going crazy. The aches you felt when he hung up the phone. The loneliness you felt that was different from every other college freshman. The jealousy that you knew wasnât right.
The homesickness that followed you everywhere.
You weren't missing home or struggling with change and you definitely weren't adjusting.
You were in love.
Hopelessly, entirely, terrifyingly in love with your best friend.
And the worst part?
The moment you finally admitted it to yourself, your phone buzzed with a text from Vivian.
Viv: Miss you.
You stared at it, feeling your heart breaking and soaring at the same time. Heart belonging to him completely.
And for the first time, you wondered if maybe he'd been trying to tell you the same thing all along.

Hot opinion here, the reason why there has been a big decline in fanfic quality across a03 and Tumblr(according to the fans ofc) is because most of the lowkey good authors are hiding themselves on wattpad bc of SOME of the toxic unpleasable a03 and Tumblr fans that are shown on tiktok. Literally came across a comment the other day clowning on an author on a03s writing and even giving the link to the fic saying that it was the worst thing they ever read. Now I'm not saying wattpad is better or anything like that, just that it's more open and less uptight while also being technically easier to write on. People on wttpd are also really sweet and funny too!!
Genuinely just saw some kids on tiktok complaining about xreader, smau, au (specifically highschool) and chatfics all in one comment section as if that literally isn't my whole writers flow. Is this my sign to delete all my fics and my accounts?đ¤đ¤
