This February 15th marks the 10-year anniversary of Gravity Fallsβ finale; Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls. And weβre marking the occasion as best we can!
Like the 10-year anniversary of Gravity Fallsβ premiere in 2022, Iβm opening the floor to all of you! Iβm working on a special video to mark the day comprised of the emotions of that episode from fans. So, with that said, hereβs what I ask from you!
How did the ending of Gravity Falls impact you and your life since? Share your feelings on the finale and how it helped you through life, if it was a defining moment in your childhood or adult life, how it paved a major path in your life for the better if it did, influences on your viewing preferences of shows and movies, etc. Basically, anything that made the finale special to you and how you dealt with the end of Gravity Falls, I wanna know.
Like the 2022 video, there are some rules to follow, so listen carefully! I have updated them a bit from what we learned with that video.
Per the above paragraph, share in your recording what GFβs end meant to you and how it has affected your life since. Also, if you can, your thoughts on if it was a good finale or not.
Mention when you watched the finale. Was it the night it premiered or years on when you watched GF for the first time. Iβm preferably looking for fans there the night of in 2016 and were in the fandom when Alex Hirsch announced GF was ending, but post finale premiere submissions are accepted too.
All submissions must be SFW. Please refrain from discussing in it anything that may be explicit or trigger inducing such as depression, abuse, harm, etc. I understand that for some that may have been part of their memories with the finale and GF may have been something that helped you through that time, and while if you are comfortable to share so we will still consider it, please phrase it in a way that is within a PG-13 at most manner (nothing thatβll get the video community striked).
Due to YouTube rules and privacy matters, we will NOT accept any audio submissions by people under 18. While I am aware many viewers and fans who may wanna submit are younger than that, this is how it will have to be Iβm afraid.
Please include in your submission therefore a social media link with proof of age by your own account. We will be checking and anyone lying will not be considered.
Your submission must be an audio file between 15 to 30 seconds (preferably in .mp3 or .wav format). If you must go over that limit to tell your story, please ensure itβs not over at least 45 seconds and only IF need be. Depending on submission amount, anything longer will NOT be considered.
Follow proper audio etiquette and ensure your submission is clear audio wise and not too quiet or loud. While I of course can edit to fix these things, having that done so by the submitter, if possible, makes my life easier. Bad audio quality will NOT be considered for inclusion. Sorry, potato mic owner, lol.
Video submissions may be considered too but audio is what weβre after mainly. Video submissions will only be accepted if it adds to the project like maybe you filmed it in your Gravity Falls room or something.
Include with your submission a name or username you wish to be credited under and a picture associated with it. That can be your profile pic or anything else you wanna be associated with. Just ensure the image is in a 1x1 format and again, it and your name are also SFW.
Please name your audio file and image file with the same username to make it easy to find them when editing.
Have fun. Submit something true to your experience and belief on Gravity Fallsβ end. Tell the story you wannaβ¦so long as itβs about the topic at hand of course and follows the rules, lol.
I should also stress that depending on submission numbers, we may not be able to include everyone who submits. So, if you do submit, I wanna stress there isnβt a guarantee you will be part of the video. My goal this time around is for the video to be engaging and full of fan stories, but also not over an hour long like the 2022 video ended up being. So, please follow the rules on submission length as we will be stricter this time on those who donβt follow it.
The deadline to submit is January 24th. Any submission made after that day will NOT be considered for the video. Ensure to have your recording done by then if you are interested. Remember also that this is a free project, so all submissions are voluntary and you doing so means you are giving the ThatGFFAN channel permission to use your audio in a video if selected. If that is not something you are comfortable with, please refrain from submitting.
