So, if you’ve been following me for more than five minutes, you know I’m a loudmouthed feminist and queer woman of color that uses her art to make the world a better place, right. Well, if you thought the accusations of me being transphobic (because apparently drawing non-passing trans people is transphobic) is weird, let me tell you about the other things people have accused me of:
- transphobia, again, because I drew a cisgender male character as a cisgender female character. (not taking into account the face that I had made other posts about what if said cis male character was trans?). Anyway, a bunch of people came at me because apparently the whole rule 63 - genderswap thing was my idea and my fault alone.
- racism, because the color I used to draw a black character was not the exact one picked by the original artist. I swear to you, I was told I should have color picked it. Not taking into account that I was one of the most prolific artists of the fandom and produced more fanart of these characters than anyone, but nope, the color was wrong, so I was racist. (a bunch of white people came at me for that and I… *tired sigh*)
- lesbophobia. Because I drew a bisexual woman dating a man. Just. Fuck you with that one. Sincerely, a bi woman.
So, like, the way people have been communicating online is so all-or-nothing, it completely lacks of nuance and understanding, people try to perform wokeness and end up biting not only allies, but members of their own groups.
