Creative Writing 2: Write a dialogue between a dying but powerful dragon and the boy who stumbled into his lair in search of something with which to save his people.

"Amitabha." He whispered into the mossy darkness at the entrance of the seacave.

Silvery Voice: (You! How dare you enter my presence childling!), the voice was a piercing boom in the boy's mind.

"Do not hurt me 東海龍王 Ao Kuang !" He scrambled to the floor, prostrated himself and found his palms wet, the scent of metallic blood filled his nostrils.

( 哪吒 Na-Zha?! you would dare come to my death bed... ughh...) his mind faded away and a pressure in the back of the boy's head eased.

"龍王, I ask that you return the Pearl of the orient to my people, swallowing the pearl does not grant you immortality you see, even you cannot stop destiny 命运." 龙神's mind reasserted itself against Na-Zha's own with crushing force, and Na-Zha threw his head back as blood spattered from his nose. "PUAGH!" "Haw Haw Hoaw" it heaved silvery scales, reflecting beams of light coming through a crack in the roof, silver scales now flecked with blood.

(Foolish child, Your father only wounded me, I am a god!) A chill spread from the center of the cave like frost coming for winter's reign. (The skies itself now obey my call) ^ lightning struck from above, echoing his call. (I will make your father pay for his insult with your life!) A large Serpentine eye moved from darkness to light, flaming gold slits focused pure terror into the boy.

Icicles shot from the ground in a sudden sharp spike through Na-Zha's palm "AAAAAaaH! UaaaaH!!" body trembling from frozen pain and searing shock.

(Even Li Jin can't help you now childling) Birdlike claws creeped forwards, scaled slithers of whispered death.

"Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva अवलोकितेश्वर, grant me strength!"

Invoking the ancient goddess, his eyelids flew open with sparks, irises glowing skywards. 

Sparks flew, his body ignited, a manifesto of the inferno. 

The dragon king recoiled, the ice in his cave liquifying in the furnace that was Na-Zha. (How is this possible?)

"Li Jing cannot help me because he has already given his life to resurrect me.

"His only parting gift, was his thousand-year practice of 功夫." Snapping his fingers, a maelstrom of flames burst to life beneath his feet- [Chariot wheels of fire 風火輪]

"Your unholy presence is no longer welcomed in Chentang, By the infinite light of Bodhisattva, I will vanquish you." he said the last words with the rumble of a volcano.

Bloody palm raised, eyes aflame, a bar of hot white light manifested into his grip - the Fire-tipped Spear [火尖槍]

The cave was now lit by firelight, The pitiful dragon king seemed to slither against the wall, squirming to save its bleeding hide, its fangs bared, hissing in panic, eyes narrowed in disbelief. "There is no escape from destiny Ao Kuang, Dharma gives and Dharma takes."

Na-Zha gave a mighty throw and the flaming arc sliced through the air, piercing through the dragon's titanium scales like soft butter, then the flames blossomed into a bonfire, quickly turning its pained screams into the crackling pyre of its cremation. Na-zha watched.

"Amitabha... may the hell-beings take your soul." he whispered as he bent over the crackling embers.

Among the ashes laid the Pearl of the orient and the answer to the return of rain in Chen Tang.
