Today is the same day as the rest of the week for most demons, you wake up, freshen up, go work— well that is if you HAVE a job. To most demons here, life is too boring and dangerous here. There is always something dangerous around the corner somewhere, maybe that's why another victim has died.

Still, the day still went by, which is obvious and though today seems different than usual. There was a new place right in front of them, it was unusual.

But as unusual as it appears the place itself isn't dangerous, in fact it looks safer than crossroads or anywhere.

Soft clouds everywhere, with clear pink waters flowing from the floating island in the middle at the top, various greenery nearby with fruits that look too clean. Not only that there's some colourful birds flapping their wings in the sky, flying, minding their own business.

The Phighters were suspicious of it at first but soon slowly each one of them grew too comfortable in this place, they had thought Flipside twins had managed to find a newer area.

The birds were nice enough not to poop on their head, the apples were delicious and the other berries and fruits they found were not poisonous, no harm, no danger and no matter how wary they were there wasn't a single thing that could possibly hurt them other than themselves. It was comfortable yet at the same uncomfortable.

The more reasonable ones had reasons with the others to put on guard and even try to focus in case anything happened.

Of course, nothing happened.

Well, other than the fact the birds are starting to gather somewhere without most of them noticing.

When Sword notices, him being the curious one, decides to peek and check out what's going on. "You...ugh You gotta keep yourself safe, Sword." Medkit snapped at sword at his recklessness.

"Why yell at the poor one?"

A gentle voice echoed throughout the spot, the figure was covered by clouds and was shadowed by the trees on top. They all stopped on their tracks, eyeing on the new company and some even summoning their gear.

"Ah... Dear ones... You do not need to point at me, I mean no harm..."

You finally stepped out from the shadow with your feet taking a slow step to them all which only alarmed them all. "Promise." You smiled.

But seeing their lack of cooperation you just let out a disappointed sigh, your hand resting on your cheek. "Oh you all... You barge into my home and even eat my food..." They winced at your pitiful tone. "...you made yourself comfortable here without my permission but wish to harm... The owner of this paradise...?"

"We... We didn't mean to." Sword muttered softly, de-summoning his gear he glanced at the rest then approached you. "Leave.." you turned around, your wings were the last thing they saw.

After the whole mishaps, they decided to find a way out but when finding nothing they all split up for better results.

Rocket and Sword sat on the soft grass, Sword's chin resting on his knees with his eyes eyeing the river. "Who do you think that Inphernal was?" Rocket asked, his eyes eyeing the floating island in the distance. "I don't think they were a... An Inphernal? I didn't see any horns on them."

"That or they hid it!" Rocket snapped his fingers at Sword. "Or their horns are..."

"You know what happened when an Inphernal lost their horns."

"..."

The both of them went silent as soon the comment left Rocket's lips. "There you two are." Medkit's tired voice surprised the both of them as they both flinched at the sudden voice. "Oh it's just Medkit."

Rocket laid his back on the grass with a relief sigh. "Man! For a paradise all of us are in high guard, huh?"

Medkit frowned slightly. "The more comfortable the place is, the more dangerous it is..." But how are they sure that anything will harm them when nothing is happening? Medkit left the two once again, letting them be and not disturb them.

This place is too heavenly, it's too good to be true for him to accept it. And the fact that HE'S here as well is making things much worse than before and it only gave him more reason to get out of here. He doesn't want to be stuck in the same place with HIM.

But why is his pace slowing down? He gotta be quick or else he'll be stuck here forever... But this place doesn't look so bad now that he looked at it. "No, keep it together." He groaned at himself for even thinking that.

"Why?"

Because he doesn't want to be here.

"Why?"

This place is dangerous.

"How are you so sure, dear one?"

He just knows. There's no paradise, no heaven, not when subspace is still alive. He won't accept it.

"I am here don't you see? I can take care of that... You needn't worry about him, about danger, because I can help you..."

Help..?

"Shuri! Stick to the plan, will you?" Vinestaff groaned at the reckless demon that's on one of the tree's branches. "Uhh... What was the plan again?" She groaned once again.

Vinestaff pointed her thumb over to where they were previously at. "Remember? We gotta find a way out before the sunset. Slingshot is already ahead of us and you're still here just... Doing this."

"Hey! I am doing something!"

"Oh yeah? Like what?"

Shuriken scratches the side of his neck at his sister's question. "Like... Watching from the top of the trees." Yeah right, as if Slingshot hasn't been doing that already. "Okay but why are we doing this again? Like.. I get that we gotta get out, but this place is good isn't it?"

Vinestaff relaxed her shoulders, she sighed once more. "Safe or not, it's too... I dunno. The one earlier clearly didn't like staying here."

"Maybe because we were pointing our gears at them." Slingshot finally made his appearance, earning the other two attention on him. "If I were them I would get mad too when the freeloaders act like they own this place."

"But, what if we take this chance and apologise?"

Both Vinestaff and slingshot eyed the other. "Hey! It's better than nothing, okay! Do you wanna be stuck here when the landlord clearly hates you?"

"..."

So here they are, searching for something that they don't even know. It got to the point they started to ask the birds of all things. Of course the birds don't understand them... At least it brightens up the mood?

Right on cue, the very same bird that they tried talking to came back with... YOU! The birds were perching on one finger of yours, you slowly glided down to them in elegance. The sight alone gave them three goosebumps, now that they took a closer look at you... you look eternal... No pun intended.

Your voice was the one that brought the three out of their deep thoughts. "I was called...?" Oh, the way you tilt your head looks so perfect.

Vinestaff nudged slingshot to start talking and the latter just bit his own tongue before introducing himself and his siblings. Which are the other two behind him. "We wanted to apologise earlier."

"You have every right to be mad at us for pointing our gears at you..." You raise your eyebrows at them and that only seems to get them more nervous, which is weird because they have never been this nervous. Especially slingshot since he's basically an owner of his own cafe.

So why...

"Oh, dear ones, it's okay... You must've felt threatened by me." Their heart ached at your words. "...that doesn't mean I forgive you guys for pointing your weapons at me."

"But of course, we were completely in the wrong! Is there anything we could do?"

You smiled at the three. "Well, yes. You three must be dehydrated... Why not drink this juice?" Have you always prepared this or?

"..."

Oh.

Slowly and slowly. One by one, they fell for your trap, your sweet and gentle voice, the act of caringness, the pitiful act, and your kind eyes. They all fell for it, starting from Sword, Rocket, Shuriken, Slingshot, Vinestaff, Medkit, Skateboard, Boombox, Coil, Subspace, Scythe, Ban Hammer, and lastly Hyperlaser. Of course Biograft isn't too much of a problem, as soon as Subspace had trusted you the robot's info got changed immediately.

But not Katana.

Katana stood firm on his choice and opinion, even when everyone was nowhere to be seen he continued on his path.

Obviously he worries but it doesn't waver him as he still believes the exit of this bizarre place, he won't fall. If he doesn't trust the deities then why should he trust you?

Even how gentle, how kind, how everyone likes you he still doesn't trust you.

He won't give up.

So are you.

And it didn't even take you that long until you found out a lot of things about them all, even Katana.

And? It worked, your words somehow wormed itself into his mind and you even used that cheap trick you have on him. He fell, he lost and you won.

You stared at each one of them, your smile wasn't wide but it wasn't small either. Eyes glinting with mischief, finally. "Don't worry... Everything will be okay... I'll protect you guys and you guys can trust me..."

Even if you suddenly snapped they still wouldn't notice it, they were infatuated with you. Your smile, your voice, everything about you had them on high.
