I will forever stand by that if percy was in orpheus' place with annabeth he would turn around. Not because he dosnt trust herm that man trusts his whole life for that woman, but because he loves her that much hes scared of loosing her.

IMAGINE THIS:

after everything thats happened in the main pjo books and hoo.

Percy would be terrified of not being with annabeth again after the months he was missing. Now of course he would end up loosing her by turning around but that man would march straight back to hades and either convince him, fight him or try get nico to help which is belive nico would infact do.

Nico obviously after liking percy would see the dedication! And totally not because if it were will in that situation he would absolutely loose his mind. With that he would obviously convince his father to let percy and annabeth go. Either once again orpheus and eurydice style or just letting them go.

Would an AU where Annabeth dies from the poisoned knife in tLO be too angsty? Some thoughts in no particular order:

- A reversal of Nico and Percy's roles where Percy is withdrawing from camp and Nico tries to coax him back into his community.

- All sorts of fun potential for Curse of Achilles stuff.

- Athena blaming him because obviously he doesn't have enough on his plate. Doubly juicy if we go with Percy's Sword of Hades characterization where he doesn't hold himself responsible for the deaths of people close to him because that would be devaluing their choices. Maybe she makes him do the Parthenos quest as recompense.

- All sorts of amnesia angst, especially if he remembers Annabeth but not that she's dead. At some point some deity would totally offer to take his memories of her away to numb the pain, and obviously he'd decline, but he would understand the appeal.

- Pereyna angst where Reyna’s attracted to him but recognizes he's not in the headspace for a relationship and Percy is attracted to Reyna but feels like he's betraying Annabeth's memory.

- Percy isn't sure if he's just imagining it, having genuine auditory hallucinations, or if Hades is actually letting her talk to him, but he swears he hears her voice sometimes.

- Percy going genuinely insane on his own in Tartarus.

- Would also be interesting to see the Lost Trio's intro to camp without Annabeth OR Percy. Doubly so if Percy's been so withdrawn that they aren't certain he's actually missing and not just avoiding them.
