watched supergirl today and i loved it. in fact, I'm really failing to see where the criticism is coming from. i could see how maybe someone might say the plot was too simplistic, but apart from that, i really don't understand the hate.
the characterization was top-notch: kara's backstory was explained well and really highlighted why she is the way. the cinematography was gorgeous but not over the top with the visuals (i like how they focused on the details of her hair and face with the yellow sun in the background).
ultimately, the film did a rlly good job explaining why supergirl is not just a genderbent superman and underlining the complexities in their family dynamic. supergirl is not always the nicest person in the room, but she is good. she takes care of those who can't take care of themselves. and that's what it means to wear that crest.
also, milly alcock is beautiful and so is david corenswet. my supercousins are so attractive.
