yandere frutiger aero yi xi!!

I started this as a visual for the artist's Si-ann's MV for their yandere yi xi song, "Luminous Siren!" I thought the instrumentals sounded very frutiger aero-y in a way, so I really wanted to lean into that with this drawing. After I sent the transparent pngs I wanted to actually finish the drawing by adding some blood to the knife + a background!

you can find the song here! The drawings in that MV are missing the blood stuff in this image but it's okay... I just forgot to add em. Please support Si-ann she's very cool :D

Doing illustrations for a vsynth MV has been one of my dreams for a while, so I was very happy to do this! One day I will illustrate for a Miku song MV... one day...

Sitara redesign (again) !!

since artfight is coming up but it's in july (summer), I decided that maybe Sitara shouldn't have to wear a whole scarf and coat. She also needs a more light outfit because well. She lives on the west coast. It's not COMPLETELY fit for summer because Sitara just tends to wear clothes that cover up more since her body temperature is a bit cooler.

This is also supposed to look kind of over-the-top for a regular teacher to wear because of Sitara's eccentric personality. I thought that changing her original waistcoat into a tailcoat would also be fun and make her silhouette more striking. She also has a tie instead of a cravat because i thought it looked more "teacher-like" while still looking extra.

Finally, I just decided to make Sitara's eyes blue again but in a more realistic shade. They used to be both brown and blue because of this funny magic thing but it felt wrong for the blue eyes to be percieved as "divine" in my opinion. However, I felt like something was missing without the blue eyes. Blue eyes are rare in indians, but some (ex: Aishwarya Rai) have them so she just has blue eyes again.

So yeah!! I'm pretty happy with this final product. Some stuff might still be subject to change but I like her design the way it is currently.

Basically, i like to aim for making the result look the most accurate to what the drawing looks like in real life!

I'll take a picture of the drawing, and try to get it or crop it where theres no shadow of the phone or my arm. Or just anything unnecessary I don't want.

Then, I go into editing it with the basic phone photo editor, which should probably work on all phones. It also might be helpful to start with a premade filter your phone comes with as it can help do the job.

Some good suggestions for black n white stuff is to up the contrast and make the "temperature" part cooler as it make the background more light and easier to filter in programs like ibispaint!

Here's an old video for a demo on what filtering could look like for a sketch, but it works better with lineart!

Daisy's winter redesign! She's changed a LOT (old design under cut!)

Firstly, i wanted to make her look more related to her twin sister, Maggie, while still making her look pretty different. Daisy still has the big irises from her original design! However, her eye shape is now closer to Maggie's. I also really liked the low contrast hair and skin in Emma Artly's oc, Winnifred, so I added a similar concept to both sisters!

I also intended on making her a winter outfit like all the other characters, so she will have a summer outfit similar to her old design.

One thing I'm really glad I changed was her hair. I didn't really like it that much and I didn't feel like it fit her well. I made her wear two ponytails instead of one, since I thought it was cuter and more fitting as it's a hairstyle you'd see more in anime, which she is kind to trying to cosplay. I also added some hairclips for the same reason, as well as how much it added to the overall design.

Im also thinking of making the twins half-mexican but this is subject to change. If I do, though, I will change at least their surnames! I fear that if I go on too long about my redesign, this post will be WAY too long, so that's it for now!

Maggie's winter outfit!!

I thought maggie was in dire need of a redesign, but i thought it would also be good for her to have a winter outfit, so why not both?

Her design her takes more inspiration from japanese high school uniforms than her original one, which is currently also going to get revamped into her summer outfit (same goes for daisy).

Other than that, I made her hair more low-contrast because I liked how it looked!
