Season 4, Episode 6: What a Guy!
Plot: Stacks devises a plan to save the Carner Blue Butterfly, which requires him to overcome his fear and find the courage to act. Meanwhile, Mud has a loose tooth that is bothering him.
Story told by Eco:
There once was a little mouse named Timmy who lived in a hollow at the base of a tree. Timmy was so timid he never left his mouse hole, not ever. He was too afraid of what was outside. He would hear the wind and think, "I'm sure there are monsters out there". But there was something even scarier than monsters; the scariest thing of all was telling his friends that he was afraid. He thought they would all laugh at him. Timmy's friend Nicky would come visit him every day and try to get Timmy to come outside, but Timmy kept making excuses so that Nicky wouldn't think he was afraid.
"No, I can't go outside," said Timmy.
"Why not?" asked his friend.
And Timmy would answer, "It's Tuesday and Tuesday ends with a 'y'. My whiskers are too long."
But Nicky had a feeling that Timmy was making these things up and so one day he said, "Timmy, I think I know what you're afraid of. You're afraid there are monsters out there."
And Timmy said, "That's true, but why aren't you laughing at me?"
Nicky told Timmy, "I would never laugh at you, Timmy. I'm your friend. You can tell me anything."
And then he took Timmy by the paw and led him outside.
"You see, you have nothing to be afraid of. There are no monsters."
And from that time on, Timmy wasn't afraid of anything.
