President Mahama has said he must scrutinise it before signing it, which would make it law. But the pressure that's been placed has already caused sentences to be reduced and exemptions to be made comparatively to previous versions. More pressure is important even if this latest update was made because of the way the President, facing much pressure, has assented. The last time a similar bill was passed it did not end up getting signed (by Ghana's last president President Nana Akufo-Addo), so this pressure is definitely not meaningless or without hope.

Zelda is sure humanity cannot be as terrible as the Elders claim. For years, the Elders have kept her guarded and safe in their kingdom. After all, a Light Dragon is something that must be protected.

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.

Raneen, @a00h2, is my friend. She is trapped in Gaza, Palestine, with her family. She lost everything in the bombings and is now in poverty and homelessness. Her whole family, her baby, her husband, her husband's mother, are in mortal danger from the bombings. And her 1-year-old baby is in a respirator; he has very dangerous lung cancer.

She needs to pay $5,400 more before the 1st of July to get the family out of Gaza, so the baby can receive proper treatment and her other loved ones can be safe. My friend doesn't have that money. Authorized Side-Fic!

My wonderful friend @the-twilight-duchess read Chapter 9 of Songbird and asked if things were going to happen that were alluded to and I said no, not on the page at least, and she said she wanted to write it anyway to which I was like, ummm YES PLEASE I WANT TO READ IT.

“You’re the boy,” he said, not a question. 

He had seemed large when Link had peered through the wall on that first night, hunched over his desk, eclipsing Zelda in notorious shadow. He still did, framed by the hearth’s flames, as if the fire were an extension of his force. Despite the loosened shirt cuffs and absent jacket, disarmed and domestic, there was a gravitas to his presence that refused to quiet. 

The room was objectively warm, with the scent of curry escaping from beneath the silver platters. The shelves brimming with leather-bound books promised civility, but it was the drain of gold from the King’s eyes that contradicted the setting. Link could almost feel the stiff set of his bottom teeth grinding as he tallied the sum of the messenger, subtracted the girl, and multiplied the waiting letter. 

He could feel the weight of the Gerudo’s assessment, chewing on his presence like a wad of gristle, and it seemed clear that he was unimpressed. His gaze fell squarely on the letter, the only presence he considered relevant. 

“Is she unwell?” Ganondorf asked, his voice lower now, quiet, as if he too were not in the mood for wasting precious language. 

It took Link a moment to realize he was meant to answer. “No, she’s fine,” he said, withholding the paper while he tried to place this force within the history they shared. Present, but only partially. Specific, but beyond reason. The long, elegant line of a Gerudo katana ran the length of a credenza against the wall, pierced on a stand beneath a framed map of Hyrule. The same blade, it stood to reason, he had plunged through Rowan’s gut. 

A man marked for death the day two armies converged from the furthest points of the kingdom. Purged from the Castle he’d claimed by the provision of law down to the very offense of his rendered face. 

And the Gerudo King, ruler by birth, the conqueror who’d spilled blood royal only by a rich man’s happenstance, now waited patiently for a woman he had neither claimed nor killed, despite being able. Despite it being easier. Cleaner. Instead, indulging a sharp-tongued, poison-tipped disruption that any honest confidant would advise him to destroy. 

Ganondorf craned his neck back, and the crack of bone snapped in the silence. “But she is not coming.”

In which the lovers’ quarrel pivots…

I truly do enjoy working on this little gothic tale, but oh the swearing I do every time I have to render the detail on this man’s armor. There’s a little easter egg in the flourishes on the side of the upper cuirass if you squint. It’s there in canon too if you can catch him at the right angle, and when I say the questions that detail visible in the HD rerelease raises launched a hundred thousand words of fic I’m severely understating it at this point…

Anyway, with this pasted up for your entertainment it’s time for me to get back to my @zelgan-week projects. How much of the stack of Ideas™️ do you think I’ll get all the way to the finish line? Are you making delights for it this year? There’s some really juicy prompts this time around.
