How they genuinely had my boy at the ripe age of like 5 years old

So we agree that Chip, Jay, and Gillion are like basically on their way to being demigods right? It’s actually outright stated that Jay is a demigoddess because she and the rest of the Ferin family are descendants of Aster in 114 and Gillion calls her a demigod in 115. Anyways THAT’S NOT MY POINT. I can’t wait to find out what Aurora Primrose basically becomes the demigod of in Riptide because whatever it is it’s gonna tie in a theme CENTRAL TO HER CHARACTER.

Gillion, Chosen One of the Moon: Evolution, change like the phases of the moon. He’s always trying his best to hold onto the past, to refuse the idea that any change has occurred within him; he’s terrified of who he’ll become if he forgets his past and keeps moving onto the next phase of the lunar cycle so to speak.

Jay, demigoddess of the Sun: Perseverance, an eternal flame burning bright to help others grow. She’ll be there no matter what, there to help the people around her. She might be the only Ferin who sees their connection to the sun as a form of resoluteness instead of it being OUTLASTING. The rest of the Ferins seem to think that because the sun will outlast all life in the world, it’s a reason for them to conquer because they ARE the sun, there’s little pieces of the sun’s fiery near-immortality within all of them, but Jay seems way more in-touch with the fact that it represents helping others grow with steadfastness and warmth, it’ll always rise the next day, and so will Jay because she has too much to fight for to let the sun set permanently. It will rise again, and Jay will get back up.

Chip, Champion of Death: Rebirth, renewal through destruction that somehow seems to follow him endlessly. Death follows him like a curse and it almost wiped him out entirely in the Black Sea. The bride of death ripped out his heart and ate it and the father of desire (desire daddy lol) gave him a new one that revitalized him… and came with a purpose, a cost. All gifts from Niklaus do, after all. He’s a new person with this new heart, but it took him almost being gone to get it. Even just early-campaign Chip, gathering a Ferin and a Tidestrider at his sides, was trying to rebirth the Black Rose Pirates which INFAMOUSLY ended in tragedy. If the Black Rose Pirates never sank, the Riptide Pirates would never have sailed. Renewal through destruction.

So I’ve been wondering what Aurora’s “domain”, so to speak, would be. If Jay and Gillion’s godly connections are opposites (Sun vs Moon), why not Chip and Aurora’s? If Chip is Death, it’s my theory or at least hope that Aurora is Life.

I mean like think about it, she’s a Druid. Druids are fundamentally tied to nature, to the life around her. Since her fear of uncertainty seems so core to her character I feel that could also be pointing her towards being some sort of demigod of life because life is INHERENTLY UNPREDICTABLE. Even them fearing what they are is core to their characters, Chip is the Champion of Death and he’s afraid to kill, Jay is a demigoddess of the Sun and she can’t withstand the heat even in her own dreams, and Gillion is the Chosen One of the Moon, afraid to start waning when he’s forced himself to stay at Full Moon for so long. AURORA READS THE SAME BOOKS OVER AND OVER AGAIN CAUSE SHE KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE GONNA SAY NEXT. WHAT IF AURORA IS GONNA BECOME A DEMIGOD OF LIFE CAUSE SHE’S AFRAID OF LIVING. IT KEEPS MOVING IT KEEPS GOING IT’S UTTERLY UNPREDICTABLE AND WON’T WAIT FOR HER TO MAKE A DECISION AND THAT’S SOMETHING SHE’S EITHER GOING TO HAVE TO LEARN FAST OR RECKON WITH ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. Also insert here some kind of reference to the ice freezing her and her family being a way to preserve life.
