So an ice arena fight between Jay and Chip has a 50/50 chance right? It would probably be a last resort/ straw thing but the tension between their dynamic right now has me intrigued and thinking that Gillion and Aurora might have to tag team being mediator this next arc. Especially because they’re about to be in direct conflict with the navy and Chip hasn’t told about any of Jays family names being on the death list, despite her knowing that he’s not being open about it. I get why but her finding out is going to be worse Chip, come on.

Also this means (assuming the pirates become lvl 20) Gill and Aurora can hang out as sea beasts for several centuries!! Hurray!!! And hopefully Chip (Champion of Death) and Jay (Ferin Sun shenanigans and whatever Faye had going on immortality wise) can be saying hi to them small-style for several hundred years as they usher in a new era of peace :)

Gillion has been begging for validation his entire life to the point where once he doesn’t know where to get it from anymore, he’s looking for it from EVERYBODY. INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY PEOPLE NOT EVEN ON HIS CREW. Marshall John is practically the living manifestation of Gillion’s need for acceptance and appreciation from authority figures and/or the powerful.
