Personality
As the white sheep of the Le Paradox clan, this status has dealt Annette a bad hand in life. From being disowned along with her Mother, to a traumatic break-in that cost her Mom her life, to being cast out by her abusive father, she starts out with a defensive nature due to her fears of being shunned for her family ties. Underneath that prickly nature, what she wants the most is closure regarding her beloved Maman.
As those emotional walls she erected around herself break down, she reveals her caring and empathetic side towards others. Her time in the field has made her resourceful and adaptable. This allows her to confront her past head-on and ultimately obtain the peace she needs to move forward.

History
Life isn't kind to prey animals like Annette Leparine. When Annette was born, Andrea's family disowned both mother and daughter. This was due to her falling for and marrying Cyrille despite their suspicions. Those suspicions were confirmed true when it was revealed that the skunk was pulling heists behind her back. That was grounds for divorce and Andrea barely managed to keep custody of her daughter. Le Paradox ended up in prison during the time Annette was a toddler. Mother and daughter both took up the Leparine surname, an attempt to scrub out the skunk's influence on the duo. As such, the younger lop rabbit doesn't know her father and his side of the family that well.
The older rabbit did her best to raise Annette right as a single mother in Yvelines. When Annette was approaching ten years of age, she helped a strange, masked rat by pointing him to where he needed to go. Little did she realize she tipped off one of Le Paradox's henchmen to their location. On the skunk's orders, their house was broken into the moment her mother opened the door. Andrea did her best to protect her daughter, but she was stabbed in the abdomen, and Annette got kidnapped before she could call Interpol.
Her time locked away on Le Paradox's blimp crippled her emotionally. When the skunk saw that Annette had no stench to give her away, his teachings took a turn for the manipulative. To make matters worse, his many rants about the Cooper clan planted the seeds of prejudice in her mind. Her training under his wing only resulted in her having some skill with lock-picking and pick-pocketing, but that was it. Annette tried to forge a connection with her Papan, but each attempt ended in failure.
It all came to a head when Le Paradox decided to kick-start his first attempt to erase Cooper history. Believing she'd be of no use to him in the long run, he trapped Annette in a capsule and threw her backward in time. However, he made sure to call her useless and reveal that he never loved her mother from the start. This broke her heart.
When a scared and prickly Annette found herself in Ancient Egypt, those around her believed she was...abnormal. She was later imprisoned and set to become a tomb laborer...only for Slytunkhamen II to realize something had happened before he found her and broke her out. It took some doing, but the Isthmian raccoon recruits her as his ṭālibah (read: student) and teaches her archery. Thanks to Pharaoh Ahmose and one of his priest-physicians, she unlocked her aerokinesis.
Some days after Sly's arrival, Slytunkhamen has Annette sent out on her first solo mission to tail Sly without being seen...

Abilities
Being a budding thief, Annette can pick locks and pick pockets. Notably, she barely makes noise when picking a lock, though Sly notes that she's a little slow at times. She can also use her ears to fly for short distances, an ability she says she learned on her own.
Slytunkhamen II taught her archery on her request, and her skills only grew thanks to her time with the Cooper Gang. The rabbit is also skilled at using a crossbow.
Thanks to the lessons she learned from one of Pharaoh Ahmose's sau (read: priest-physician), she unlocked her aerokinesis. She can spin in place to generate periwinkle tornadoes (at the cost of getting dizzy from spinning so much). She later displays the ability to conjure a wind pillar around her in a bid to repel attacks.
