So...it's been a while since I've posted here lol anyone still here? Do you love and listen to Red Velvet? WELL! Tell me your RV discography preferences!!!

In 2021, I asked ppl to vote for their favorite title tracks and bsides, and then made a video of the results. Red Velvet has had 4 EPs and 2 full albums since then (a lot of new songs in the running now), so we are long overdue for another poll! A 2026 EDITION it is!

I’m probably gonna elaborate on certain things more on other posts— for this one I’ll tell you about what I have planned for the Power-Ups.

🌈Terrain-Based 🌏 + Environmental Power-Ups

❤️Magma

The Fire power-Up, Inferno power-Up, Blaze power-Up…

Thermal Protection against extreme heat conditions, fire/lava resistance, heat stress, and smoke.

Oxygen masks, membrane layers, heat vision(?), etc.

I’d like to incorporate actual firefighter elements in the design. I’m also using character designs from the movie ‘Promare’ as inspiration. I adore the artistic choices in that film! ✨

External Layer (durability + protection)

Moisture Barrier (insulation + filter)

Thermal Barrier (more insulation + air cushions)

🧡Ground

I considered calling this the ‘Terra Power-Up’ but since I’m classifying this as a Terrain-based miracle enhancer… I decided against it.

Caving helmets to help illuminate dark tunnels.

Suits have reflective designs so that they can see allies.

Ventilation/respirators for clean air.

Eye protection

Mainly helps with digging/drilling into hard Earth. That being said, the suits would have earplugs to block out the noise.

The Ground power-up probably has the most destructive ability compared to the others.

The Ground power-up probably won’t get as much use as power-ups like the Space or Rainfall ones— especially since the catacombs of Paris will probably hinder its uses… or not? I guess they could still use it if they’re hiding down there.

💛Sandstorm

Also called the Desert Power-Up.

Goggles/Mask so sand doesn’t get in the eyes/nose/mouth.

Special shoes that are unaffected by the heat of the sand, while also providing support so that the ankles/feet don’t tire from walking on sand (unstable surface) for long periods of time.

I’m considering modeling the shoes after a camel’s feet…

💚Aqua

Some miraculouses already have a ‘compatible power-up’ sooo with this (as an example) I think the turtle miraculous would already have some aquatic abilities by default, so using a power-up would amplify those abilities.

The only thing I’m really changing about the Aqua power-up’s appearance is that when the holder touches water…they turn into mermaids. 🧜‍♀️ 🧜‍♀️ 🧜‍♀️ because I wanna draw mermaids.

I get all technical with these other power-ups like “um actually☝️🤓 you need X equipment with Y protection when venturing in an area with Z hazardous conditions.” And then with with this one I’m like “mermaids”

🩵Frost

The Ice-Skater power-up + Blizzard power-up

I’m keeping the ice skater concept, but I’m also adding another ‘form’ for blizzards. Those skates aren’t gonna help when you need to get past heavy snowfall.

Suits are water-proof and wind-proof.

The Blizzard forms have snow boots that can shift into cleated soles for climbing up icy cliffs, or snow-boards for skiing.

It always kind of bothered me that they present these new power-ups…and only introduce three, one of which (Ice) we hardly get to see. I partially blame this on the fact that the Ice power-up is isn’t as versatile as the Aqua/Space ones.

💙Rainfall

The original name I had thought of was the ‘Rainy Day power-up’ I also considered calling it the ‘Wetlands power-up’

The hands and feet of the suit can stick to slippery surfaces. The rest of the suit works like a hydrophobic substance— easily resisting water (and mud) and having it slide off their costumes.

Special goggles that see through fog with sensors that detect heat/movement/etc.

Depending on the situation, the Rainfall power-up can also add an oxygen tank + mask for hiding/diving in mud.

Thermal protection- don’t want anyone catching a cold!

💜Space

Same functions as canon, though I’ll switch out the wings for rockets/jets. I’m not sure how effective wings would be in space…I get its magic but…eh.

I’m not sure why I’m like this. I change the Aqua power-ups so I can draw mermaids, but I don’t wanna give the cat wings???

Part of the reason I wanted to make mermaid designs is because I was thinking “Oh, this is a show aimed towards little girls, they missed an opportunity for a mermaid doll series,” and then when I have the chance to make fairy designs I don’t want to. Maybe it’s cause it’s called the Space power-ups… when I think of fairies I think of more nature-forest entities then space. So I wanna draw space suits.

🩷Mountain

I changed the name last minutes to the ‘Mountain Power-Up’ before it was ‘Mountain-Climber—‘ and even just ‘Climber power-up’ however since the other titles mentioned the environmental conditions, I decided that ‘Mountain’ felt more appropriate.

Suit helps with high altitudes, Leg support, magic offers control of the holder’s center of gravity.

I actually thought of leaving this one out, as I feared that the Space power-up would leave it null. The Space suits are usually used for long-distance travel, and when I thought of the Mountain power-up, I considered the heroes using it to travel in big cities by scaling the skyscrapers.

I ended up deciding that the Mountain power-up would get its use in wide-area searching missions. It’s most effective in situations like looking for things in caves or along cliffs.

🌈 Specialized Mission 🌟 Power-Ups

•Stealth

•Extreme Combat // Armor

•Healing // Support

•Sound-based // Music

•Animal Metamorphosis

(Originally would’ve been merged with the Stealth suit’s abilities…until I realized that animals like horses and dragons aren’t stealthy.)

•Tech-Suit

This one I’d like to elaborate on. The Miracle Temple fell in 1845, and so the grimoire would have to predate that— which obviously means there is NO WAY they would have a power-up based on modern technology.

This idea came to me because I was like “Hmm I wonder who found out there was a way to enhance the Kwami/miraculous powers…actually, if they figured this out with less resources/research than we have today- what power-ups could modern-day miraculous holders make?” And so you have the power made by the newest generation of heroes.

🌈 Crystal 💎 Power-Ups

It’s shown (in Season 5) that miraculouses can be physically modified to take different forms. Whether that be the dormant forms or being reconfigured (Gabriel’s rings + Marinette returning them to their original design)

So I think it’d be interesting if the miraculouses could be tinkered/forged to enhance their powers or gain new abilities.

The original concept for the canon power-ups were things like the ‘Pearl of the Heart’ or ‘Stone of the Sun’ so theoretically a miraculous can be modified to add these enchanted stones to harness new powers.

This is the concept I have the less planned out, but as for what extra powers could be added to a miraculous— I’m considering ones based on the Five Elements in China.

So that would be; Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, and Fire.

I also wanna incorporate the scrapped ‘Pearl of Heart’ idea. Which according to the little info we got, is what lets Ladybug cure the akumatized.

This provides a meta reason as to why Ladybug and Chat Noir are allowed to leave Paris WITHOUT seeming like they’re abandoning their duties as heroes. They have others who can do that as well! Narrative-wise; once they acquire the ‘Pearl of Heart’ it also gives other heroes the opportunity to shine without needing Ladybug’s aid.

I don’t know if canon even needed to add the whole ‘Purify the Akuma’ thing. It’s only relevant in the Origins/StoneHeart episode… but story-wise, this point doesn’t matter at all. Think about it. They wrote-in this problem just so Ladybug can have another power that makes her essential for saving the day. They never have the heroes fail at purifying the Akuma again, and never delve into a story where it’s important again. It feels like they’re breaking Chekov’s gun.

These are outfits that come already built-in as optional suits. Not including the ‘default’ suit heroes transform into.
