If Brenda and Clark don't appear in New World of Steam… I’ll cry.
Of ALL the ‘old’ characters to get an appearance, they would make the most sense.
There’s no ambiguity about their relationship. They’re Luke’s parents. They’re his mum and dad. Luke may be a mature 14-year-old but he’s still a kid. Or if he is living in Steam Bison by himself, then what happened to Clark and Brenda? Are they ok? Or, if Luke did fall out with them, what was the reason?
Luke adores the professor and he loves his parents! Clark and Brenda trust (and care about) Hershel so much! There’s no reason why they can’t all be a family appear in the same game again.
One of the most emotional plot points in PL3 was that Luke had to move away from London because his dad got a new job. What was Clark’s new job? Does Brenda have a job, aside from being the best mum? What did Clark and Brenda think about Future London and Clive’s Moving Castle? Were they super worried about Luke? Did this cause them to lose faith in Hershel? Did they find out about Claire coming back?
Level 5 don’t get the *spoiler* characters excuse from me like they did in LMJ. (Still not sure why Ma and Pa Layton or Flora couldn’t help look after Kat…) Both Clark and Brenda appear in Azran Legacy. Even if a player hasn’t completed PL4, you know Brenda comes back and Clark isn’t in prison after the spectre thing. They’re happy together with Luke.
Clark and Brenda don’t need to be main characters in the plot. I’d honestly be happy with them just showing up, flirting with each other, and embarrassing Luke like they did in AL.
