This is from the latest chapter of Half Memories that I am writing <3 (yes, I am still working on it!)

The memory was from Connor’s point of view; it was like watching a horror movie. He’s sitting at his desk, and in the corner of the HUD is a stress indicator showing elevated levels. Connor had no memory of why his stress was elevated.

Hank is standing by his desk, leaning against it, arms folded over his chest and a deep frown on his face. The audio in this part of the memory is corrupted, and whatever Hank is saying to Connor is garbled in static. Then, after a moment, clarity is restored as Hank receives a phone call.

His face sets into a different type of frown as he looks at Connor as he makes a getup motion. His bright blue eyes on alert.

“We’re on our way.” He says before hanging up and swearing.

“That was Captain Allen” he says in a gruff voice, “There’s a bank robbery in progress. Hostages, both human and android. He wants you to negotiate.”
