I was tagged by the lovely @tmgt 💙💙 to talk about 5 fics I've written and why I'm proud of them :D

1. Snow and Snuggles (Hetalia, Rus/Ame)

I'm really proud of this one because this was my first fan fic I've ever published. It was part of the 2016 Ten fucking years ago holy shit Christmas exchange. Funnily enough, I was so new to Fandom spaces and Ao3 that I gifted the recipient incorrectly, and only LAST year gave it to them properly. I'm proud because it was a first in a lot, and honestly rereading, I realized I was - in fact - good at writing.

2. Another Life, In Different Bodies (Detroit Become Human, Connor/Gavin)

This one I'm proud of because of the connections I was able to make through it. It came about from a discord discussion and I had so much fun writing it and connecting with the community. It made me realize I can actually end a long fic and I kinda fell in love with a character I didn't care for (Gavin) and found I actually do enjoy the fandom version of him. I liked the banter I wrote for Tina and Gavin and the barely restrained over protectiveness of Connor as he's hiding a secret that he knows can ruin his and Gavin's marriage if he doesn't come clean the right way.

3. Half Memories (Detroit Become Human, Connor/Rupert)

By FAR my least popular fic 😂 but I'm proud of this because it was the first fic I started consistently writing after a decade of not writing creatively. It was my first DBH fic period and I cherish the few people who have commented and kudos it. One person said it was their favorite on the site and my heart just exploded from happiness. I will finish that fic for them. It was the fic that brought me into the Fandom at all and the beginning of this obsession I've kept for the last year XD actually this might be number 1 but I'll keep it at 3

4. Just eat the soup (Detroit Become Human, Reed900)

This was a gift to my awesome beta julee92 and I'm proud of this one because it's a fic /one shot of a pairing that's not my OTP but it was a lot of fun to write. A sicfic with chicken noodles and teasing. What's not to like? Especially since it was a gift to friend 🩷

5. The Dance (Detroit Become Human, Connor/Rupert)

I'm proud of this one because it made someone else's list of favorite fics and I just melted because, as with rare pairs and low engagement, you think: Nobody likes this. Why do I publish this? I could keep this in my folders.

But then one person loves it, and you're just like… "Yeah, that's awesome." I'll keep posting my rarepairs. I'm proud of this one because of the little details I put in it too :)

I think the only one I'm not super proud of is my Stardew Valley fic where I change POV, tense, and main character name inconsistently throughout??? But I plan on revamping it one day 😊
