Part 2 of crossover sibling headcanons: Michael Townsend and Evelyn Blake
@rainforcsts @liarzhangs @sadiecece this was so diabolical to make hopefully you like it. This is the ultimate duo we should be afraid of I fear.
They first met on Michael's eighteenth birthday, a few months after Eve officially becomes a Blake (Michael hasn't joined the naturals program....yet.)
Michael had been hearing about his father's shadow operator, the silent partner of Thatcher Townsend for years. And he did not like the emotions written on Vincent Blake's face when he shook his father's hand one bit.
They tried to get Michael and Eve to mingle. It ended in Micheal spilling his drink on her (yes, on purpose.)
Get along??? Honey they loathed each other.
Michael would always figure it out when she tried to turn the tables against him, claiming she always made a certain face when she wanted to make people give her what she wants.
In retaliation, she had Slate follow him for days. She couldn't figure him out, despite believing herself to be an excellent judge of character when it came to what people wanted the most. And it irked her to no end that he was so good at turning her own emotions against her.
She recognized in him the same loneliness she felt in herself.
They both accused each other of being obsessed with the other at one point.
Slate had to listen to a two hour long rant about Michael and was only allowed to nod along with Eve's words and insane plane she likely got talked out of by him the next morning.
Celine likewise, spent two hours on the phone listening to Michael make fun of Eve.
They're like Elphaba and Glinda, only they're both probably Glindas.
The first ounce of respect they gained for each was when Eve very gracefully and discreetly told Thatcher Townsend to go fuck himself (correction: she was not very discreet.)
Michael saw the way she fought for Vincent Blake's approval and all the unsaid emotions flashing on her face, and he was both disgusted and unexpectedly....shaken.
They're both addicted to any form of power they can gain from their own personal hell (in Michael's case his father and in Eve's case her great grandfather) but Eve's is out of a desperate seek for any kind of blessing from Blake and Michael's is a way for him to gain how own control. This has caused them to clash with each other many times.
Surprisingly, she once sat down to watch homeward bound with him (Michael's favorite movie) by the end if it, they were arguing so hard neither was willing to do this any time soon.
Sometimes she talks to him like he's one of her employees, and Michael Genuinely doesn't know if she is doing this on purpose or she just forgets.
Eve has walked in on him hooking up with a random girl AT LEAST three times (she knows all his favorite make out spots. Why you ask? Because Slate listed them all for her duh!) and doesn't matter how many times he threatens or bribes her to stop this, she just throws a shirt at him and orders him to get up because they have work to do.
In case it wasn't clear before they bully each other on a daily basis.
Michael saw her cry once and only once. And let's just say, it's not a sight he's keen on seeing ever again.
Eve won't admit it under torture, but she helped Micheal and Celine expose Thatcher Townsend's white collar crimes to the media. They ended up in one of the most nefarious bars in NYC which may or may not be where Michael met the rest of the naturals (I low-key might write a fic about this.)
Sometimes Eve looks at Michael and Celine and very secretly mourns the relationship she could've had with her own siblings.
She rarely ever talks about Toby with him, because Michael sees under all that facade how desperately she wants him to be her dad and only hers.
They both listen and JUDGE.
Let me know if you wanna be added or removed for more parts!
