I think I managed to read the whole epilogue. The last line I could find was this: "A chaos of Hawthornes," I murmured back, "indeed." Which I kinda hope I just can't find the rest, because it seems like a weird place to end the whole series.
I did think that the series would end with Avery and Jameson's wedding, and I liked the idea, but I also wanted a longer time jump, like at least a few years. I wanted to see how they grew, as well as the other characters.
I did still like things about the epilogue. I liked the mention of Zara and Oren's romance, which I'm not sure if more is shown in the actual book or not. I liked having Thea and Rebecca in it, and that we just got to see them in general. I really enjoyed how Zella was included, with how she gave Avery her gown. Avery Zella age gap yuri when? I also loved seeing Lyra and Avery interact.
I mean, I do like the idea of Avery getting married more than Libby having babies. I need to make a whole rant about why I hate those babies. Also, why would Libby joke about going into labor? Why did no one believe her but Nash?
But, overall, I'm not a big fan of the wedding. Avery and Jameson are too young. I also hate that he surprised her with it and didn't actually wait till whatever date they had planned. Like, the Fourth of July is such a terrible date for their anniversary. I also think Oren should have walked her down the whole aisle, and it's very weird to have Grayson be the last one to pass her off to Jameson. I think the implications of her literally getting passed man to man till she's with Jameson are not good.
I don't completely understand the Lyra stuff yet, and I'll do another post about the epilogue when I do read the whole book.

untitled and unfinished— savannah x rohan! daughter alternate universe
pairings: savannah grayson x rohan, gigi grayson x mattias slater, lyra kane x grayson hawthorne
note: hello, maddie here! when i started this fic with high hopes all the way back in january, i fully intended to finish it… but well, it’s june now. however, i found this in my drafts a few days ago and adored how fluffy it was (#selfglaze) so i made a few edits and here we are! after not contributing to this fandom for a while, please accept this fic lolll. also if you catch the grishaverse references i’ll give you a kiss.
background information: in this alternate universe, rohan and savannah are married and have a daughter named zoya aurora grayson. in this fic, she’s a toddler (my lil bby fr).
Golden honey morning light dripped through the window curtains, the stoves turned on, pancake mix being whisked, and in the midst of it all was Rohan Grayson— who was going through the ordeal of making breakfast.
Savannah and Rohan discovered that they were both equally imperfect at cooking, but he was better at not flipping the pancakes out of the pan, so here he was.
"Add 2/3 cups of water and mix. Do not over-mix," he read aloud from the box, on the verge of simply going out to swipe some pastries from the local bakery, "but the only thing I'm over are your bloody instructions..."
Miraculously, two lopsided stacks of pancakes sat on plates alongside sliced strawberries only thirty minutes later. No one needed to know that Rohan nearly covered every surface with an explosion of powdered sugar in the process, did they?
He was proudly commending himself about his creation just as Savannah and Zoya wandered into the kitchen, sleepy and still in pajamas. Zoya rubbed her eyes with one of her her chubby fists while her other hand clung tightly to her mother's.
A few strides instantly closed the distance between Rohan and Savannah as he tipped her chin up to kiss her softly and sweetly. "Hey my love," he murmured against her, "good morning."
The corners of Savannah’s lips turned up in a smile and Rohan didn't think she could be prettier, her grey-blue eyes brightening. Zoya plopped down on the floor and babbled happily to herself, seemingly knowing her parents were having a moment.
"I love your outift." A hand tapped Rohan's chest gently, and Savannah held back her laugh at his powdered sugar coated apron.
He ignored her and instead buried his face into the crook of her neck, leaving kisses. "And I love you, Savvy."
Another, longer kiss on the lips... then Zoya noticed.
"Gaaaaah!! No kissy mama!" Zoya pouted, latching onto Savannah's leg like she was holding on for dear life. Rohan chuckled quietly and crouched down with a grin to talk to his daughter.
"Good morning to you too, my lovely doll." And a doll she was— Zoya Grayson had her mother's unflinching winter-frost eyes and full lips, and her father's thick jet-black hair and caramel skin.
Her screams of disgust quickly quelled when the attention was once again on her. "G'morning da!" Zoya singsonged, tilting her head to one side with her blue eyes sparkling.
"Go eat your breakfast, Zoya," Savannah stood her up and Zoya dutifully nodded and waddled to the dining table, while she turned back to Rohan, "and stop staring at your father like that's going to brainwash him into doing your bidding. That's my thing."
Rohan's lips curved into a smirk at Savannah's remark, his hands going to her waist. He stole another kiss from her and was going to try his luck for another as Savannah pushed him away lightly with a laugh.
"We can do all that later, British, but Grayson, Lyra, Gigi, and Slate are coming over, remember?" she reminded him, and Rohan had to admit it had completely slipped out of his mind. "Lyra was freaking out because she found out she's pregnant, so I offered to talk to her. And Gigi's going to be here for moral support."
Rohan was confused, and he shot his wife a look. "What about me, Grayson, Slate, and Zoya?"
Savannah only returned one of Rohan's trademark smirks. "You boys are going to be tasked with taking care of Zoya."
"What? You're trusting Slate with our child?" Rohan pointed out with one of Savannah's signature eyebrow raises.
"Well that's why you'll be there with them. Seriously, it's three adult men against a toddler. A toddler, Rohan! How hard could that be?" she rolled her eyes at him, but she still smiled at him as she walked toward Zoya.
A while later, when breakfast plates had been cleared and fates were accepted, the doorbell rang and noise would soon fill the house. Zoya was singing out the ringing sound over and over again just as Savannah hollered "Coming!"
The door opened to reveal Grayon, his fingers intertwined with Lyra's, Gigi who came bearing a ziplock of Oreos for no apparent reason, and Slate who seemed embarrassed to be there. The whole lot was ushered into the house, where greetings were exchanged.
"Hey Sav, hey Rohan, and ohmigod is that my favorite niece?? Which is kind of sad for me to say now that I think about it because I only have one niece, but I digress! Hiya Zoya!" A torrent of words flooded out of none other than the younger Grayson twin.
Zoya giggled joyfully like only a two-year-old could, her head getting patted lightly by Gigi and an Oreo getting pressed into her palm.
Meanwhile Grayson nodded to Rohan and Savannah, formal like he always was and said, "Hello Savannah, Rohan, Zoya Aurora." the same time that his wife yelled, "Savannah, I feel like I'm literally dying but hi everyone!"
As they reached the living room, the women were already chatting away and the men were left with thinking what the heck they were going to do. Abruptly, Gigi turned to the group of males following behind them with a toddler and informed them solemnly, "I believe this is where we part ways, boys!" Then her tone completely changed as she cooed to Zoya, “And you too, sorry sweetie.”
Grayson and Slate paused with confusion, but Rohan picked Zoya up without missing a single beat.
"Pardon me?" asked Grayson, looking to Lyra for answers and finding none with her secretive look.
"Mattias Slater, Grayson Hawthorne, and Rohan Grayson— you are hereby banished from the living room!" Gigi announced before there could be any more questions, and she seemed to be having too much fun watching the reactions of Grayson and Slate.
"Actually, it's my house..." muttered Rohan, but no one paid him any mind except for Zoya who started pulling on his hair and snickering to herself.
Lyra waved from farther back in the room to Grayson, nodding like she was dead serious. "Don't commit any murder, Gray, and for the love of god please do not depress Zoya." Gigi bounded up and stood on her tiptoes to kiss Slate on the cheek and said in agreement with Lyra, "Don't depress Zoy-Sauce."
"And remember to take her to nap later at 12:30," called Savannah, "unless you really want to see Zoya the dragon. This girl's a beast when sleep deprived, and will call everyone asshole. I blame her amazingly wholesome father for this."
“You’re the light of my life, love.” Rohan replied playfully and tossed a charismatic grin at his darling.
Grayson visibly blanched at the all-too-familiar nickname as an amused Lyra cooed to the little toddler, "You're so right, Zoya! Men are such assholes, and that's why you have the best aunties."
But Zoya just realized what was happening in her surroundings, and did not like the prospect of leaving her mother one bit. "M-mama! Want mama stay..." she wailed, her normally glittering gemstone eyes beginning to glisten with big fat tear drops.
Savannah sighed, standing up to lift Zoya from Rohan's arms and tenderly wiping her tears away. Why such a sassy child was so clingy had reasons that were beyond her. "Aw, I'll play with you right after nap time, okay? I just need to have a conversation with auntie Lyra right now."
"Pwomise, mommy?" Zoya stared with her still-watery eyes in the depths of her mother's soul, trying to guilt her.
"That doesn't work on me— but I’ll see you in a few hours, my little storm witch." Savannah replied, and pushed a stray stand of raven's wing hair out of her face.
Zoya blinked as if surprised her almighty tactic didn't work, but turned to her father anyways like she had accepted defeat.
A tiny hand slipped into Rohan's, and he felt as though he never wanted her to ever let go.
lmk if you want a part two because i lowkey might write it….
She went in for the kind of kiss that wasn't delicate—or merciful—in the least. "No biting," Rohan murmured. "Unless the other person really deserves it."
this is fmu since the other two times he says that it's to their cat 😭

you cured my january blues (you made it all alright) by zcniiks
Summary:
“You really think it’s a good idea to go out when you’re like this?” Savannah’s crystal-clear voice cut through the walls, clear enough to almost navigate through the fog in Rohan’s mind.
Almost. Rohan rubbed his temples with his knuckles, watching the door that blocked his girlfriend from his sight. “I’m fine. We can go out.”
