BEFORE WE RP!
hello, i enjoy to rp and would like to rp with people but i have a few things i’d like to share. i should’ve done this sooner but didn’t because i didn’t want to be too “selective”. well now idc.
1. DO NOT ENFORCE OC x CANON RELATIONSHIPS WITHOUT BUILDUP.
essentially, in the most respectful way possible, i do not know your character. a short description of them won’t make me understand your character in a way to see if the pairing will work. not only that, but i do not like just throwing them into this intimate relationship/close pairing if the history isn’t as thorough as it would for canon characters.
this goes for oc child/canon parental figure as well (and even sibling ocs). please do not throw your child oc onto a canon character i portray when i barely know the mun or the character. it’s practically controlling, especially if the mun doesn’t want those kind of connections onto their canon. rp is not the same as fanfic.
and i say this as someone who adores creating ocs. there’s limitations to it for me. this doesn’t mean that i don’t like to rp ocs alongside canon characters! i just prefer that slowburn.
2. AGE GAPS.
this shouldn’t even have to be said but i am not comfortable with a huge age gap with characters that are younger than 25. it’s weird. if i don’t like seeing that kind of stuff irl why would i want to rp it? also, canon character ages can easily be predicted/searched for. with younger characters, the age gap limit for me is two.
3. MDNI!!
i’m not comfortable rping with minors/anyone under eighteen. this is self explanatory.
4. TRIGGER WARNINGS!
please share your trigger warnings/limitations before officially rping! i wouldn’t want any barriers crossed with anyone. rping is supposed to be something fun, not something that will make someone uncomfortable.
5. SELF-INSERT CHARACTERS.
yeah, i don’t feel comfortable rping with characters that are clearly a self insert. shouldn’t have to explain myself, either.
6. ACTIVITY STATUS
i don’t reply right away because i have a life or sometimes i don’t have enough motive/energy to do so.
