Everytime we see Vox on tv in modern time he ks selling something. When Alastor gets on in stayed gone he is distracting Vox sure but he is litterly just wanting to entertain. Vox is uses tbe tv as a tool to funnle more money and power to him.

I see people act like Alastor would never ever ever give up murder but to me it seems like he's starting to get bored of violence. Like yes he's taughting when he tells Pentious he doesn't even rember him and Vox when he is all like "finally a fight with you that might be a challenge." Still he hasn't seemed as killing in present especially compared to say Val who litterly talks about wanting to kill people in his intro or Vox who says he's be waiting to be able to hit Angel.
