For the 5th year in a row now, we are proud to host...
Wxwood week 2026 edition!
And just like last year, this week will actually last two weeks, from the 18th of May, all the way to the 31st.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, since the last year's prompt vote in our Discord server did so well, we decided to host one for the Tumblr community as well!
It was a tough choice for sure, since a lot of the prompts received a similar amount of votes, and quite a few were very similar sounding, but eventually we managed to settle on...
As our main prompts!

I hope you guys are excited, cause we sure are!
And in case this is your first time participating...
Here's how it works:
All you've gotta do to participate is simply work on your selected prompt, post it here or on Discord and notify us of your submission!
You've got two antithetical prompts and 2 days to work on your piece. You can either select one of the two prompts, combine them in a creative way, or do both of them seperately if you so desire.
You've got two weeks to work on these pieces.
What If I don't have enough time?
Well...while technically speaking you've got 2 days per piece, in reality you can take as much time as you need, even though we have an "official deadline", please don't feel pressured to finish everything on time, especially if you're choosing a more time-consuming art form.
And speaking of art forms...
You can choose anything ranging from drawing (digital or traditional), writing, animation, collage or whatever other creative hobby you practice and which can be showcased online!
Don't like any of the main prompts?
That's what the bonus list is for! If you don't like some of our main prompts, or don't find them as inspiring, you can substitute them for those from the bonus list on any given day.
And if you happen to like both the main list prompts, and the bonus ones (+ have enough time on your hands), you can always choose to do all of them! Though obviously this isn't mandatory
Do I have to do these prompts in order?
Not necessarily. No. While you can certainly choose to do them in order, if you don't have an idea for an early day prompt, or feel more motivated to do a later one, you can work on them in whatever order suits you best.
How do you share your submission?
Once you complete your piece, you can submit it here and use the tag #wxwoodweek2026 (so that we know for sure it's for this event, and that it doesn't get lost amongst the remaining art) please also mention which day's theme you're using, and remember to also use @wxwoodweek so we can reblog it to our blog!
What if I want to share my submission after the deadline passes?
Wxwood week submissions will continue being reblogged by our Tumblr account after the deadline passes and until the end of June. (as long as it's properly tagged)
The only difference is that the reblogging may take longer after the month of May.
Is NSFW allowed?
Technically speaking, yes!
Suggestive or violent works are allowed, as long they're labeled as "adult content" with the proper warning tags in place.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me or @pigeon-gryphon, my co-host!
With that in mind, see you next week, folks!
