in the meantime, I want to once again say that support for transfem survivors needs to be bigger than TVP, and it's something you can do too, whether it's through a tumblr askbox format like TVP, starting small support groups with other local transfems, just plain listening to the transfems in your life, or a million other ways. things can and will get better for us if we stick together and listen to one another. lots of love 💖

I do not care if cis women and some other queer people are uncomfortable with "passing" trans men being at the gynecologist, at the planned parenthood, at the homeless shelter, at the SA survivor meeting, at the trans pride event, at the queer resource center, or with us just existing. Trans men's right to exist and to be treated like human beings should not be disrespected or disregarded becouse some of you think testosterone or facial hair or butchness or masculinity or phalloplasty somehow gives you cooties.

Now take this and apply it to trans men.

And what the FUCK do they mean, "public setting"?? Yeah, upskirts are mistly taken in public fucking settings! That's not an eycuse, that's part of the fucking issue

according to archives the first version of the snopes article listed it as "true," but it seems to have been changed. given rowling's widely known history of extreme and aggressive litigiousness i'd be willing to bet her legal team probably objected and snopes caved

the world is full of TME people who abuse transfems in ways that range from minor to major. I do not believe this means the world is full of subhuman monsters and demons. I believe that it means there are systems and norms that facilitate and enable this abuse. this isn't "rot," it's systems working as designed

Like huh, what a novel idea to claim that it's actually the targeted minority group doing all of the violence against itself, that way you're both claiming they're the most violent AND you can disregard any of their experiences since 'they just do it to themselves you see'. We've definitely never seen that one used in like, I dunno, claims of violent black men or anything. It's not like a well known white supremacist's last words were minimizing gun violence with this strategy or anything.
