was doing a first aid course and it kept talking about how when applying first aid to a child you have to ask the PARENT for consent and how the child's consent is not enough unless you cannot reach the parent. and then immediately after there was a unit on shaken baby syndrome, and then mentioned abuse as a common source of children getting injured. and they didn't see the irony there. i later asked the instructor what to do about parental consent if the medical emergency was from the parent abusing the child and she was like "you still need to obtain parental consent. you can report the abuse though" not even acknowledging how fucked the whole system is. i hate it here. youth rights now

#yeah no #put me in jail for life #I'm going to administer first aid whether the parent consents or not if I think the child's life is in danger #(also including punching someone in the face if they're the danger against the child)#but yes #the amount of cases where children have been traumatised or hurt #even killed #because 'parent's know best and we shouldn't intervene'#is devastating #in my country there's an entire law surrounding children and the duty we have as a public to take care of any child in need #the child's need is always the highest priority

god smut is so hard to write.

first you gotta do the build up and then the actual fucking and the fucking is pretty easy but you never know how long the fucking should last, and eventually you're like "okay I'm tired of this" so the characters cum, but you're not done yet because you can't just end it at "he fucking nutted everywhere" you gotta keep going, and the characters have to chat a little or cry or think about how horrible they are or something and then you kinda don't know when to end that either so now you're 2k words in and you might have put too much self hatred and not enough sucking dick. so you wrap it up, and think well it's done now.

or sometimes you have it all perfect in your mind and you knock the whole thing out in 2 to 3 hours.
