An afghan womyn shows us how the world looks through the veil she is forced to wear 💔 I pray she along with all other afghan womyn will get to experience the day she can walk outside and feel the wind in her hair, see the movements of the wind in the grass without mesh to block her view, hear the birdsong without heavy fabric over her ears, smell the fresh air and feel the sunlight on her skin and talk to another womyn about the beauty of the world, all without fear of violence or worse.

This is sex based oppression distilled to its purest form. Some call it “gender apartheid” but frankly even that downplays the severity of the situation for afghan womyn. I don’t even have the language to describe it in only a few words, if that language even exists yet
