superbat with jealous superman is SOOO delicious. lets say justice league is revealing their identities and superbat are already together. batman is the last to go, and when he reveals himself, everyone who is surprised is like “no. fucking. way.” because you mean the HOTTEST, most BEAUTIFUL man in gotham (and maybe even the world) BRUCE WAYNE is BATMAN?
so the next couple weeks at the justice tower, anytime batman is in the room or simply walks by, oliver and hal just kinda watch him with awe on their face and a slight blush. (along with the other members, but they’re the first bystanders victims)
superman notices and pats them on the back way harder than he knows he should. (when dealing with humans)
hal: OWCH- what the hell supes? did you wake up on the wrong side of the sun, or something?
oliver: i think you dislocated my shoulder-
superman: whoops! just wanted to say hey!
then he pulls them close and whispers into their ear, his smile never leaving his face. whatever he says makes hal and oliver freeze and immediately shake their head up and down, before they walk (run) away.
another incident happens where batman’s cowl is slightly damaged, revealing his left eye and cheek. aquaman rushes to cover his face to hide his identity, but superman notices the flustered look on his face. quickly finishing up with whoever he was fighting, he bolts over at top speed.
superman: hey uh, i got him- so- hah, no worries!
superman kindly nudges aquaman out of the way, and uses his cape to cover batman.
(he doesn’t notice he knocked aquaman 20ft away, thankfully being caught by flash)
soon, after a couple of incidents like this happening, the jl has come to the conclusion: superman is very protective of batman. and the best part, is batman has no single clue. after every incident, he looks at superman with confusion on his face, and superman just smiles and kisses him on his nose.
