big-brain mind-reader ultra-cool imayoshi was written like he was just some dude. when he is actually The Dude. like i get that fujimaki had to make strky lose + jabberwock be arrogant/direspectiful so we'd hate jabberwock (not that it even worked as is evidenced by all the asks i've gotten about nash). but leave imayoshi out of it. man doesn’t even go to france after the match; he just spends the rest of his life in kansai as a depressed nerd salaryman in a loveless marriage hating all foreigners with his ugly short hair.

honestly i’m in half a mind to rewrite the jabberwock x strky match myself - at least imayoshi’s role in it. cause man could have been so cool. you’re telling me imayoshi cares about disrespectful opponents? he raised hanamiya. nash&co are nothing to him. he should have been able to defeat jason no problem too, man could easily be made to fuck up by someone as in control of their emotions + manipulative + intelligent as imayoshi. imayoshi should have thrived dealing with such dirty playing opponents.

hell, imayoshi would make a brilliant addition to jabberwock. get rid of the over-used, boring “racist foreigners” trope and give imayoshi some nice long hair (bro... imayoshi in a long, loose plait... imayoshi in a man bun...). let him guide nash to become even more villainous, help nash manage the team (god knows nash needs the emotional support if nothing else), maybe even give him some tats on his arm to match those on nash's neck. bring out the suppressed evil in imayoshi.

Akashi’s first impression of you wasn’t anything bad. It wasn’t exactly good either. It was certainly memorable though. ‘The girl who flew down the stairs, knocking him onto the ground, and landing on top of him with a thump’ is how he remembers you. 

The moment was almost cliche. If your eyes had met and lingered on each other, both aware of the position you were in but not moving away, then it possibly would’ve been a scene straight out of some cheesy romance novel. 

Instead, you seemingly bounced straight up upon impact, not even bothering to spare Akashi a second glance. You proceeded to give him a quick apology, running down the next flight of stairs immediately after.

The first time he ever shared anything with you was during lunch in high school. Peeking up after a large bite, he witnessed your desperate gaze, salivating at the meal his ma had prepared him. He thought he could only empathize because your expression had been so relatable. He’s been hungry many, many times. During practice, during a game, even in his dreams. He knew how it felt to crave, to hunger, and so, with a gentle nudge, Osamu shares his meal with you. After that, Osamu’s definition of his grew even looser. What he ever owned was yours, and what you owned was his.

You would never bat a single eyelash when his chopsticks ventured into your bento, simply allowing his to mingle with yours. The wooden utensils split grains of rice, clipping each other in their journey to gather the next, salivating bite. He’s your own phantom roommate who likes to sneak into your kitchen and unabashedly prepare a meal and you’re his ma’s favorite child with the way she dotes on you and calls you the daughter she’s never had. Osamu gives you his hat when the two of you get caught in the rain. You take a handkerchief from your pocket and wipe his face after.

It’s not just the physical things either, but he gets to live out these important moments with you too. You were there when Osamu made his first yen, right behind him with the cheeriest smile as you prepped soy sauce in small, takeout containers. He adjusted the cord around your neck before he watched you in the cheering crowd for your graduation. There’s two barstools in your favorite backstreet food stand that have witnessed every promotion, breakup, and any other milestone that needed a round of sake, good company, and a happy belly.

“Want some?” You slide your way next to him on the balcony, touching elbows as you lean in to offer the crinkled bag of your snacks.

Osamu has to dig through, diving his thumb and index finger in when he realizes you’ve eaten more than half the bag. He collects crumbs along the way that he happily devours with a lick of his tongue. “Where’d ya get these?”

“From the vending machine before the party started.” You sigh before slumping your chest against the railing, leaning your head onto your arm and clearly exhausted. “I knew I wouldn’t get a chance to eat with all this stuff going on.”

“Yeah, but where’d ya get them?”

“Oh! From my pockets! This dress has pockets, you know.” You stand back, eager to show him as you dig into the sides of the satin cloth that cling to the dips of your figure.

He immediately rolls his eyes, having heard this way too many times since you’ve acquired it. “How could I forget?”

“How could you?” You point at him blithely with an affectionate smile.

A lot has changed since high school, Osamu reminisces as he looks at your face. Mature but graceful in age, you’re different from the poor, hungry student who accidentally forgot their lunch.

“There ya are!” The two of you flick your gaze to the right. Atsumu walks through the French doors, festive clangor crescendos until he closes the door behind him. “We’re about to cut the cake.”

Atsumu places a hand on your back before looking to his twin, “Could I borrow her for a second?”

Definitely the quiet kid that will pipe up and roast someone alive

Has the lunar gift but got the device after accidentally controlling and injuring Mason 

Tends to attract the crazy crowd (Nowell, Love, Mason) 

The mastermind behind Love and Nowell’s pranks 

Generally does not show his thoughts or at least stays neutral in the antics 

But Netta gets him fired up and will rope him in to participating in something stupid

Claims to hate her a bit but really doesn’t, they just fire each other up

Nova Benoit 25

Kinda rebellious but more against society rather than her parents because she loves her parents very much 

Adopted at 12 

Such a daddy’s girl 

Kinda aggressive and has some anger issue 

Dyes her hair 

Has fang implants. Her parents didn’t really wanted her to get them but she thought they looked cool, plus her dad and siblings had them 

She is half wolf herself  

Her Aguilar jaw, sharp nails, and pointed ears give it away

Has an on and off again relationship with Love Throne 

More on but off but Nova is a bit emotionally constipated and it clashes with Love’s bubbly and outgoing personality

I can definitely see Kuroko as a people pleaser/he doesn’t share his internal thoughts much. With the exception of some things basketball, he generally keeps his mouth shut as to not rock the boat if you will.

Kuroko watched 2 of his (best even) friends mentally break and then everything he loved about the team/basketball/ etc crumble around him. While I think it was an inevitable thing (give the lack of proper adults 🙄) to happen, a small subconscious part of Kuroko thinks that if he hadn’t questioned Aomine he would still be the same or if he hadn’t shared his feelings with Akashi he wouldn’t have gotten an answer shattered him.

Of course this isn’t exactly true and it was just verbal confirmation of what he knew already, but it’s just that tinyyy part that whispers “things wouldn’t have changed, if you didn’t question anyone or shared what you really thought/felt).

I think it’s fair to argue any amount of character flaws even if they seem ooc/ not at all canon just based solely on the fact he doesn’t really share his own thoughts much (outside of bb).

TL;DR

I think Kuroko might need more therapy than anyone else in GOM

I feel like Kuroko could either be the type of person to think like how you described him: someone who’d wallow in the “what-if’s” in the back of his mind like “what if I didn’t chase after Aomine in the rain” etc. But on the other hand he’s always been someone who thinks ahead and looks forward to the future? Like he wasn’t bogged down and didn’t mope around with the fact that his entire GoM friends turned into assholes, but he was moreso determined to get them back and change them for the better. One of his many positive traits is that Kuroko is resilient and strong-willed, and honestly, everyone has their own “what-if” moments that don’t necessarily make it a negative trait for Kuroko alone.
