A while ago my friend was talking about how they wanted to build Bikini Bottom and Rapture Bioshock next to each other in a minecraft world. Someone joked that actually Rapture is on the other side of the road SpongeBob lives on, they just never pan over there. So in the moment I very quickly made this

never kill yourself is the perfect meme phrase because its superficially nonsensical-- "never" implies there can be more than one instance of a person killing themselves, but that's definitionally impossible by way of the word "kill" . However, as much as the needless overstatement "never" renders the phrase detached from reality, it also speaks to an emotional truth . suicidal ideation often grows from an inability to conceptualize a future for oneself . to recognize that it's silly to say "never" kill yourself is to recognize onat least a subconscious level that the warning "never" applies to an extant ongoing future which "kill yourself" inherently negates . it challenges the casual suicidal ideation by denying the nonexistence of an ongoing future tense. thats how it works in my brain anyways maybe somethings wrong with me that i dont know about yet

like I mean this very seriously as writing advice. the character should experience events and make decisions that make them different at the end of the story. they should be changed. they do not have to be improved.
