ˋ°•*⁀➷ Time to give my boys Sharpshot and Thundersong some spotlight because they are, in fact, THE main protagonists of this story, oh yes, and let no one even think otherwise ☝🏻😌

Lysander and Ana? Never heard of them ☕

Sharpshot (or book accurate Toothless, if you will ✨) is actually so forgotten and it saddens me aww he deserves more love 😭

And I also recently realized a coincidence within the story about these two and their human pals—

🏹 Hiccup named his Terror Sharpshot after training him to never miss a strike; and we have Ana, who is the most skilled archer on Berk.

⚡ Ana named her dwarf Terror Thundersong; Hiccup rides a Night Fury, often associated with lightning, and where there's lightning there's thunder.

Not these two dumb dumbs (lovingly) referencing each other like that without them or me even noticing for the longest time 🙈

Recently a lovely buddy of mine over on IG told me Lysander reminded her of Bambi's dad and I pretty much ascended for a second 🙈 He was one of the inspirations behind Mr. Hatherwood INDEED AHH 🥹❤️

And so I was like huh.. why not sketch Lysander with some of the Great Prince's expressions as refs? 🦌🤎✨ (and how could I possibly resist watching one of my most beloved comfort movies ever for like the millionth time again while on the hunt for said expressions 🤲🏻💕)

Bit of lazier shading this time around hehe this was purely a quick self indulgent thing for a few extra ounces of serotonin 🙈💖✨

Cool, so you want natural fiber costumes with no/nuanced corset slander, people wearing colors, historical hairstyles, people wearing hats or headcoverings and long sleeves outside during the day, no potatoes or pumpkins in pre-columbian Europe, actors with textured skin and wrinkles, minimal makeup, consulting HEMA groups and weapons scholars for all the weapons and fight scenes, a good soundtrack that includes traditional instruments?
