Youāre an amazing writer and artist that I have been a fan of for a while now, and I was extremely excited to be your Secret Santa! I know your top request was for either a drawing or fanfic about Kakuzu and Sasoriās height differences, but since I have a ways to go before being a decent artist, I really hope you enjoy the story that was a joy to write <3
āIt looks as though I was correctā¦ itās the chakra paralysis type.ā
Ā Kakuzu forced strangely colored eyes on the syringe that was filled with a small amount of his blood to distract himself from the excruciating pain. However, like oil in water, a murky blue substance was floating atop his blood within the glass. The syringe was held in between wooden fingers under sharp scrutiny.
āI can tell by how it reacts with the blood once it loses contact with the vein tissue. This has the potential to do a vast amount of damage.ā
Ā Ā Ā Sweat ran down his jaw line and neck under the mask which he decided to remove since he was burning up. He could barely think straight. āā¦What?ā Kakuzu grunted.
āYouāve been hit with a chakra paralysis type of poisoning. I havenāt seen something like this in years. This type is extremely complex to effectively pull Ā off. Only the most skilled of shinobi specializing in poisonsā¦.ā
Most skilled shinobiā¦ Kakuzu couldnāt remember. One moment he was on a solo mission. A man with a long white cloak. Nothing else came back to memory. He could not even recall how he managed to make it back to the hideout.Ā
Good god. Ever since I completed finals I literally haven't had a single day where I was able to stay home for more than 6-7 hours per day. 5-6 of those hours is of me sleeping and the other 1-2 hours is me trying to cook up some semblance of food before rushing out the door. Every. Single. Day.
Not only did I have to work full shifts on Christmas Eve and Christmas, I've been doing more overtime than I thought possible for my crappy body to withstand.
I don't even know if I have any friends left anymore because I had to cancel so many plans, even ones that I'd already rescheduled because of work. I can't believe there are so many people living like this every day of their lives. I desperately wish I wouldn't have to continue like this because otherwise there's no hope for me continuing my hobbies or things I love. What's the point of planning on doing so many things when I'll never end up doing them because I get called in at the last possible fucking second.
I'm just so sorry. I truly hope the rest of you guys all had a wonderful, fantastic holiday! <3

How many works in progress to do you currently have?
Iām afraid I havenāt counted! Not including the ones that are public (Phobia and Switcheroo), Iād say about 3 or 4 that I have plans for? The thing is, I come up with many different AUs/story ideas but not all of them have been actively worked on. For example, I have bits of a Hogwarts AU written for Hidan & Kakuzu, as well as a sci-fi/dystopian AU that I have a couple chapters down for.
Do you/would you write fan fiction?
My one and only purpose in life. ;) Jk, but really about 95% of my writing is fanfiction.
Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
I personally enjoy physically being able to touch, flip, and smell the book as I read through it, and seeing them sit on my shelf brings a warm tingly feeling to my heart. However, Iāve spent more time reading stuff on my computer these days, and itās super great to have it ready at my fingertips wherever I go. So I canāt really decide!
When did you start writing?
The first time I actually put in effort to create a real story was in 5th grade, when I was about 9 or 10. It was a Digimon self-and-friends-insert, worthy of a dozen cringe-attacks and ridiculously unoriginal. But still a story! Thatās when I really started getting into writing. Around the same time I resolved to improve my art, because of a new girl in my class (now my lifelong best friend) who truly was the definition of someoneĀ āborn giftedā with drawing talent.Ā
Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
You mean all you guys? ;P
I love sharing my work with everyone here, and it makes me even happier that so many of you guys seem to enjoy it. None of my real life friends have ever seen my Zombie Combo works, except for one person (another lifelong best friend). I write other fanfictions though (Harry Potter, MARVEL), and a couple other people have seen those.
Where is your favourite place to write?
In front of my desktop where itās quiet (except for the occasional moment where I can hear my poor computer fan chugging away). Though I like to listen to music when I draw, sadly itās never the case with writing. I tried turning on some emotional music to inspire me through certain scenes but I can never focus/concentrate. I need my death-like silence ><
Favourite childhood book? Ā
The good olā HP series which I can never let go of, even now. Explains why I like dropping into my Hogwarts AU now and then!
Writing for fun or writing for publication?
For fun, without a doubt. I donāt think Iād ever publish something of mine like an official thing.Ā
Pen and paper or computer?
Computer all day, everyday. I type much faster than I write, I hate my handwriting, and my hand hurts, my wrist hurts, everything hurts and the computer is my best friend. If Iām out somewhere and I think of a cool sentence, I type it out on my phone. If desperate times calls for desperate measures, Iāll bring a pen to the palm.Ā
Have you ever taken any writing classes?
Nah. Does high school mandatory English count? Probably not. Would have come real handy, though... I regret not taking any.
What inspires you to write?
Deadlines! Anytime I have some super important thing due, it decreases motivation there and fires up my inspiration elsewhere, mainly fanfics. But the most important thing is passion. I feel that I really gotta invest myself emotionally into the subject of whatever Iām writing. And if in the middle of my Harry Potter fanfiction, I watch Guardians of the Galaxy and suddenly find myself obsessing over Yondu? Well, that fic is getting put on hold, no matter how much I love both franchises. I gotta really be in the zone with these characters, yanno?Ā

I am excited to continue writing more, so Iām not gonna let school defeat me for good ;) While I am involved in multiple fandoms, I tend to drop in and out of most of them as other things take over. In the case of Naruto, wellā¦ my burning love for Hidan and Kakuzu will never die LOL. Iāll be here for a looong timeā¦

May I ask what brushes & what programme you use for drawing? Your inking looks so lovely!
Omg thank you so much!! <3 I honestly donāt use anything super fancy when it comes to programs. Most of my work now are all on FireAlpaca. Itās completely free, and it has all the basic tools one needs for drawing. Iād say its coloring/brush capabilities are much more limited compared to SAI, but it still gets the job done!
Here are all the brushes available in the program:
I use the basic, boringĀ āPenā like 99% of the time for like, all inking and line art:
Size usually ranges around 2.5 ~ 4.5 depending on the canvas size Iām using. I feel like this program is also really good with pen pressure so the lines always come out smooth and clean.Ā
Very rarely, I use āAnalogā for its scratchy effect:
Sometimes when I wanna go for a slight, manga-ish feel for shading I useĀ āPolka Dot which looks like this in its raw form (size of dots, spaces between dots, and the size of overall box you see down there can be adjusted):
So I use the freeform lasso tool to select the area of shading and then color it in using this brush, which looks like this:
I really wish I had other cool, fancy features to show you, but this is all Iāve got. The sad reality of my work process :ā( Still, I hoped it helped a little! ^^Ā

As for the next chapter, I have been working on it but the months of November and December are a really bad time for me; the upcoming holidays mean more work shifts forced into my schedule, on top of exam season and project deadlines approaching fast Iām just aaaaaaaa
