i'm sorry i didn't respond to your DM for 23 days. the number on the notification icon got really big and i began having irrational anxious thoughts such as "what if people are in there trying to contact me"
me when i have to use a weapon shaped like a person until i'm the weapon shaped like a person
australian sour patch kids have gluten in them i am truly at my fucking limit im crashing out im waging war against wheat idgaf anymore
oh is that one of those things where ableist companies put in traces of common allergens so they can just avoid the cost of making it safe
WHAT
A trend we predicted in 2016 continues.
US based but it’s similar reasons in other countries. and of course many companies have international locations. idk if that’s why it’s happening with sour patch kids but this is a thing
I cannot even explain how ANGRY I am at this.
My nephew is very allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame. Last year my sister discovered all hot dogs and hamburger buns now contain sesame. Not "may contain", but listed in the ingredients. This year basically every brand of sliced bread also now contains sesame, making it very difficult to find bread items he can eat.
They're just adding it to their products, so they can just list it as an ingredient and not bother with worrying about cross contamination. And they aren't even bothering with telling anyone. Capitalism is going to kill us all.
"Which brings us back to Kellogg’s. Back in 2016, the company found a way around the added burden and expense of complying with the FSMA: they simply began adding trace amounts of peanut flour to their cracker products. Doing so allowed them to list peanuts as an ingredient of the product, freeing them from having to prevent cross-contact.
At the time, Kellogg’s notified Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) about the impending change and left it to them to warn the allergic community. In this case, Pearson’s didn’t even bother as near as we can tell."
We're just gonna reinvent Victorian England again and again and again forever, huh. We gotta start burning them on pyres I think.

for a better tomorrow
Gameboy peripheral PediSedate was designed for dentists and dosed kids with nitrous oxide as they played games.
Time to enter the GAMER ZONE
Camera, printer, sewing machine, now a fucking anaesthetic adminstrator…was there anything the Game Boy didn’t have an accessory for?
Do you know about the fish finding sonar?
gameboy sprinted so smart phones could lag and be ugly
What I saw somewhere on another post, ages ago, was that the GameBoy was THE cheap small computer of the 90s. Laptops existed by the 90s, as did cell phones, but they were very expensive and heavy. In 1995, a GameBoy cost about $100 in today’s money (per Wikipedia)–not nothing, but much more affordable for the average person. Also, it was insanely durable–“Nintendium” really was a thing back then. The result? People built all sorts of third-party cartridges to do things that were completely unrelated to gaming. The post I’m referencing showed a cartridge that controlled a sewing machine. Absolutely fascinating stuff.
You’re not far off, but I will point out that they cost about $100 in 1990 money, so definitely more than $100 today.
ran out of things to run to or away from. what now

"law and order" is a euphemism of fascism
Your heart is not true enough to enter the gates of Margaritaville
My heart was heavier than the feather; I am sentenced to Rainforest Cafe
i know the way people talk about their pets now is probably how we’ve been doing it for all of history. a cat owner in ancient rome saw their cat lounging on the dining pillows and commented “he thinks himself to be the senator claudius 🤣”
The first attested cat in Japan was given to a young 9th century emperor and his diary about it includes such gems as 'I affixed a bow about its neck, but it did not remain for long.", "The color of the fur is peerless. None could find the words to describe it, although one said it was reminiscent of the deepest ink.", "When it lies down, it curls in a circle like a coin. You cannot see its feet. It’s as if it were circular Bi disk." and "I am convinced it is superior to all other cats.” Basically posting about how his void is the best little void and so good at getting really round
Dude living downstairs has been loudly rapping for like 10 minutes, then suddenly did a high pitched scream, and now its silent down there
he got raptured
