Tails: Because of you not trusting me for no good reason, the world continues to be in danger.
Sonic: I do trust you, Tails. But the whole world's in danger because I did not trust you.
In this scene were Tails is 100% right that you'd have to have the IQ of a Tuber not to get that.
From what I can tell, people's reactions to it are as follows:
"Eggman should do it!"
(You doubt Tails.)
"Tails was mean to Eggman!"
(A person who deserves no sympathy.)
"How dare Tails bring up Sonic's mistake!"
(Your like for Sonic has blinded you.)
"OMG Sonic admits his mistake!"
(If that was the case, he'd be agreeing with Tails.)
Let's remind ourselves with a few things shall we?
~~~
Tails fixes the Tornado. What a nice man that Tails is.
Sonic seems to worry if Tails can fix it, and shows disrespect at Tails' achievements.
What I find interesting is the line "reprogrammed a super computer" is the line Sonic shows a very disrespectful lack of care for Tails' skill.
~~~
Without Sonic doing anything, Tails knew Sonic was wanting to rush. So surly Sonic, especially given what Tails has just said to him, knows Tails wants him to hear him out.
Or... he can just be a jerk instead.
Tails did in fact have the answer.
~~~
Tails' issue here is Sonic's lack of consideration of what Tails does.
Just smash it, don't use it for good.
Again, Tails knew what Sonic was thinking, while Sonic shows he doesn't "I know".
~~~
Tails fixes Cubot. What a nice man that Tails is.
~~~
Don't worry about it Tails, your heart was in the right place.
Wait nah, what were you thinking? Unlike me who can do no wrong.
Tails did what he did because of Sonic ignoring him and having Eggman around. Sonic was even slow to react, which is just more proof of how little he cares.
Tails is the one who actually admits his mistake. Which this mistake could be blamed on Sonic, but Tails instead takes full responsibility for it. And his mistake is not to the level of Sonic's, not even close.
The fact that Tails even admits his far less serious mistake (Sonic thinking Tails would of died is more proof of his doubt of Tails' abilities, like he was already shot in this game, and about to be hit by Sonic himself later) is a big deal.
~~~
Look, how is this not Sonic just hates Tails at this point?
Also.
Tails sacrifices himself. What a nice man that Tails is.
You got that right Eggman.
~~~
Doubters don't look!
~~~
Tails could of shot Sonic here, get revenge. But he doesn't, that's not who Tails is.
If I was to treat this like a transformation with a meaning.
Cyborg Tails would represent Tails' selflessness. That no matter what happens to himself, or how much Sonic disrespects him, he's got Sonic's back. Always.
~~~
Well, well, well. Look who unsurprisingly was a doubter. Of course it's however no big deal to Tails.
It's what he does.
What a nice man that Tails is.
Ironic how Sonic says this while we see his own "collateral damage" in action.
Which isn't his only "collateral damage".
And remember, even the world itself.
