My European Studies professor decided a few weeks ago to take a Friday and instead of following the syllabus, he spent the entire hour and a half comparing Hitler’s actions from a European perspective to that of what Trump is doing in America. He never repeated a single point, and even used video and photos like this to show the comparison.

To make things better, he had us do an in class assignment for participation points. He first played a clip on youtube of one of Hilter’s speeches, subtitled and 3 minutes long. He then played a clip of one of Trump’s rallies. Our assignment? Copy down every single sentence that matched in translation down on a sheet of paper or a word document that wasn’t repeated. The person with the closest amount to what my professor found got a candy bar.

My professor found, in just three minutes of a speech, that Trump matched 65 different phrases/sentences to that of Hitler’s translation.

65 nearly identical phrases used in his speeches. Take a moment to think about that.

Okay okay, we all know by now I have a complete obsession with Apollo. I’ve seen plenty of Aphrodite Altars, but almost none for Apollo.

the thing abt those actor guys that really makes me laugh is their respective attitudes toward supernatural like. jared padalecki, who is a terrible actor, seemed desperate to leave and put his whole pussy into walker, a show which was doomed to be terrible from the start, partially bc it is the cw's walker but mostly due to its lead actor being jared padalecki. meanwhile, jensen ackles cant seem to move on and is putting HIS whole pussy into various reboots and spinoffs and even started a production company about it, despite the fact that he's actually a pretty decent actor who could easily move on to bigger and better things. and then misha collins seems to be the only one reacting appropriately to the show (his only source of relevance ie his only source of self-worth) ending, which is to say he got divorced, released some vaguely homoerotic poetry, came out as bisexual, came out as straight, and accidentally endorsed a brazilian fascist. here's to the reboot 🫡

Two of my favorite ships of all time is Ed/Stede from ofmd and Victor/Yuri from yoi. And I do think they have a lot of similarities so going to present my case. * clears throat *

Ed & Victor similarities:

They start the story at the top of their careers

(maybe getting a bit old for this)

They are bored, have lost inspiration

They start to teach what they know to this new interesting person

They fall in love so fast

This new person gets them to love skating/pirating again

Yuri & Stede similarities:

Stede is a failed pirate, Yuri sees himself as a failed skater

Has some anxiety to deal with to say the least

Try their hardest to impress their love interest

Not talking to their love interest, and just f_ing assuming they would be better of without them 😠
