I think it's interesting how you can see in deltarune a sort of portrayal of how kids in the past 30 or so years are often brought up relying on technology for comfort and emotional regulation in place of their family. Tenna and Queen are a TV and a computer and all they want is to make Kris and Noelle, two very damaged kids with actively bad home lives, happy. They see it as their purpose, or part of their purpose, but they can never truly satisfy Kris and Noelle's needs because children won't develop nearly as well emotionally through watching a screen as they do with genuine connection and communication and attention paid to their lives. That's not something Tenna and Queen are really capable of understanding, but they still build entire worlds and activities for their lightners. It's all very "playing video games while your parents fight in the kitchen"

we are witnessing the gentrification of the term "tumblr sexyman" in real time and it is extremely disappointing. like no, live-action white boy #265 played by ryan gosling isn't a tumblr sexyman. i can't believe i have to say this but if it wouldn't get you shoved into a locker it probably isn't a sexyman
