Eric Øresund // Twenty-Six // Dock Manager // Non-Magical
TW: Illness, death
Eric wasn’t born in Walt Grove, but in Denmark. His father’s job had them move there when he was young so the accent never caught on. He sounds just like any other guy his age in the town.
His mother was his best friend growing up. He loved listening to her stories about his birthplace as well as fairytales that talked of magic.
He never believed the fairytales she told, but he did find solace in them.
He never went to college. His parents had the money for it, but he was never passionate about one thing enough to want to dedicate his life to it.
Instead, he travelled. Mostly in Europe. His first stop was Denmark. He wanted to experience his first home before anything.
He spent a few years travelling and exploring, learning everything he could from his experiences. The places he went to were such rich with history that he took down notes and photographed every bit he could.
He has a huge scrapbook of pictures and notes from his travels and it’s probably his prized possession.
When his mother fell ill he rushed back to Walt Grove. He had to be with her, and when she passed he was devastated. That was the end of his travels, telling himself he couldn’t leave his father alone.
Even though he grew much closer to his dad, nothing would replace the bond he had with his mom.
He loves the ocean and working at the docks with his dad isn’t miserable because he is constantly by the water. Even on his days off he can be found at the beach or even sometimes back by the docks just to chat with his work friends.
The girl with the voice bothers him daily. He wants to find out who it was and why he felt so...enamored. It was strange and he had felt like he was under some sort of spell. That was the only way he could describe it despite the fact he insists magic is not real.
Then there’s Ariel. She’s sweet and he thinks she is gorgeous. He doesn’t want to say she’s his back up girl if he can’t find the long lost singer, but he definitely wouldn’t mind getting closer to her.
Has no idea he dated her cousin, Vanessa. HA.
Has a sheepdog named Max for obvious reasons
Loves crab legs
