Trigger Warning: Mentions of Bullying
Violet has always wished that she could be normal. In fact, she was embarrassed to know that she and her family were magical, so much so that for years, she wished that one day she would wake up and find out that her entire family was non-magical and were normal people. But of course, no matter how many times she wished for it, the reality of her life was that her family was magical and so was she.
As opposed to her, her family didnât seem to mind being open about their powers. Granted, they werenât the type to scream it out to the world that they were magical (Okay, her mom and Jack-Jack wouldnât but if it were up to her dad and Dash, than EVERYONE would know by now), but they were a lot more accepting to being magical than Violet ever was.Â
Violet has always been the shy and quite girl who always fades into the background, which in itself was a total contrast to her parents and especially her younger brothers. And because this, oddly enough, despite her initial dislike for her powers, Â the abilities she has worked very well for the type of person Violet was.
Her abilities consists of being able to turn herself invisible and creating force fields around herself and anyone close to her. And while creating force fields wasnât an ability she used all that often, her invisibility powers on the other hand, turned out to be very useful for her.
Many kids knew about her being magical when she was young, and instead of being accepting of them or finding them cool, they use to pick on Violet and bully her by calling her names such as âweirdoâ or âfreakâ, and Violet hated that. It was due to the bullying that caused her to hate hate being magical in the first place, and those negative feelings stayed with her for years after that.Â
It took until Violet was nineteen for her to learn how to turn her clothes invisible when she is, and as well as she can now know how to turn objects invisible too as long as sheâs touching them. Has been unsuccessful in knowing how to turn others invisible with her though.
Is not a huge fan of her job in working as a receptionist for Drizella Tremaine as Violet doesnât like her attitude and how she treats others. Was near close to quitting her job the first month she began working for her, but the job paid well and Violet enjoys being around her fellow coworkers who she also goes out for a drink with at the Snuggly Duckling every Friday. Plus, she surprisingly learned how to hold her own against Drizella, never once allowing the older woman to talk down to her since sheâs aware of certain things. But for the most part, she tries to avoid her boss when she can.
Her hair is a clear indication on how sheâs feeling, as most days she would have it pushed back against her ears and out of her face. But on the days where sheâs feeling extremely low of self-esteem or worse, kinda depressed, Violet wouldnât care if her hair is covering her face.
Whenever she creates a force field, her eyes turn a bright purple. That could be due to her force fields being purple.
A weird tick sheâs has is that whenever sheâs sneezing a lot, her invisibility activates and sheâll turn invisible, and then visible again the second time she sneezes. Itâs worse knowing that she getâs bad allergies. Her powers also tends to act up whenever sheâs super intoxicated, and because of that, Violet tries her best not to get too drunk. Has a hard two drink limit.
Is a cheesy-movie connoisseur, meaning that she secretly enjoys watching films that was incredibly stupid and rated low in rotten tomatoes.Â
Music is her safe space and she likes to use it to block herself away from the world, but she also just genuinely likes listening to music a lot and has considered more than once to learn an instrument before.Â
Violet is very felixaeble and nimble, and likes to head to the gym from time to time to continue keep herself in shape. Normally after work to also work off steam from work if she has nothing else to do afterwards.
Is very observant and tends to notice things that most people wouldnât.
She isnât vocal about her magical abilities. In fact, Violet tends to be secretive about them because the less people who knows about her being magical, the more normal she seems to others and that is exactly what she wants to be seen as.
