Anyways, they get kidnapped onto an island they'd need a boat to get off of. They have to work as slaves in the best run landfill operation in the entire contry. Leo even mentioned how the company can just do this because of corruption. If they don't comply or even make a mistake (or even hesistate) they get shocked by one of the guards who apparently do this out of free will.

This isn't even like a season 4 kinda thing. This is the 9th episode of the very first season: the garbageman

The kidnapped demographic is homeless people

People largly ignored by society, often portraid as 'lazy' and 'filthy'. And they get saved by people who are called 'freaks' and have to hide in the shadows because they fear what would happen if ppl new they exsited.

They do, however, show themselves to the homeless people and give them stuff they could use. Because while society 'hates' both of those groups, while they are completely different, they know they have to it is the right (kind) decision to stick together and help each other.

Also, despite the silly name "the garbageman" Don says they have to take it serious, because one of the homeless people said so, and Don trusts him.

Fandom Problem #13,234:

One thing that really irritates me is how fandom has moved into private chats. I come on tumblr or twitter to make some new friends that like the same media I do (or characters or ship or whatever). But all the interaction happens on Discord.

People come here, recruit people for their discord, and then leave. All the headcanons, fic discussions, open collabs... Almost all of that has shifted away from here. I swear it used to be a lot more lively when I was younger.
